Basing this review on the fireworks display on 5th November. It’s so nice, probably one of the best all round displays as there is music before hand, food and crowd control now with free tickets that you need to book in advance. Definitely less crowded than any other display you’ll go to. 15 mins of pretty impressive fireworks. And it’s about 5 minutes walk from Canada Water, really accessible.

If you ever come down around 7pm on a weekday night, you will see some pick up football. Get along.

This is a gem of a park, and — in my view — one of London’s best-kept secrets. So well kept, in fact, that when I bought my flat I didn’t even realise it was opposite such an enormous park! A bandstand gives concerts some Sundays, there is a little boating lake and an immaculately kept rose garden, café and art gallery. I have just been for a long run round the park, and enjoyed the sight of families having fun there and people walking their dogs. Go take some stale bread and go duck-feeding. Credit crunch? Best things in life are free!

This is a nice park, where you will find children, dogs, rollerskaters and OAPs wasting Sunday afternoons. It is well kept, has a nice bandstand and some beautiful trees. It’s far smaller than the likes of Hyde Park. The park is open from 07:30 until an hour before dusk.
