I had been here several times over the last few years but today was my last straw I was quoted a price for mani pedi with shellac £55 then when she went to put normal polish on after she completed my pedi the price suddenly went up as she didn’t understand or «no speak English» I just got really fed up and decided to just leave with no polish on my toes and they still had the cheek to make me pay for a full pedi there was no apology and she did a rubbish job anyway the place is dirty and they speak in Thai about the clients sneakily laughing at people it’s just so rude the place stank and its filthy! Just don’t bother! They are money grabbers!

There are 2 locations for this salon — one on whitecross st and one on fortune st. Neither are very nice. I’ve been several times, only because you can always get in without an appointment for those pedicure emergencies. I actually don’t think this place is that cheap — a gel mani or pedi + soak off costs the same as it does up the road at Hula nails(which has 10000000x better service and atmosphere). The last time I was here there was some sort of bug infestation and little flies kept landing on me while I was getting my nails done. The employees actually acted annoyed that I complained. After that, I will never go back no matter how badly I need a pedi. I give this 2 stars instead of one, because if you are desperate and don’t mind poor service and dirtiness then they will always fit you in.

Terrible! While the prices are pretty good, I’d rather pay a few ££ more to not waste my time on some shoddy service. I called one afternoon to see if they had time to do a manicure the same day and they promptly gave me an appointment time for later that afternoon. I showed up right on time(probably a couple mins early in fact) and proceeded to wait for almost FIFTYMINUTES until they finally started on my manicure. This gave me plenty of time to notice the dirty floors, smelly bathroom, and awful random paint(some nail polish, no doubt) on the walls and staircase. Not to mention the little boy who must belong to the owner or one of the people who works there. Cute kid sure, but the stomping up and down the stairs and banging himself repeatedly into the back of my chair while having polish painted on my hands was not so cute. Did the end result make up for this? Well. not really. The way the polish was put on makes it looks a bit old as the polish doesn’t even go all the way towards the cuticle on each nail – it looks like my nails have grown in a week or 2 from having it put on. Also I didn’t notice until about half way through that one of the lights in the drying machine was burned out… one of the fingers on that hand promptly smudged about 20 minutes after walking out of the place! I could not stomach to go back to have it fixed, and will never go back again. Spare yourself!

This has long been rebranded as Spa Nails, rather than Cammy’s, but no matter. Unless someone tells you about it, you won’t have a clue that it’s here. The staff are monumentally rude. They’re also, for the most part, monumentally brilliant. Don’t get your nails done by the blokes, who seem to run the place and are therefore less good with the nails. I don’t live or work anywhere near here, but trekked up to get my UV nails done for as long as I had the patience to keep them. Affordable, effective, job done. This place is never less than ¾ full, so do book in advance, but it’s well-priced and well-worth the rudeness, if only because there will either be Free Willy or Jeremy Kyle on the telly, or Phantom of the Opera on the stereo.

Omigod! I wish I read the other review! This place is a total nightmare! Super unsanitary, they don’t wash their pedicure instruments and they have ‘house’ flip flips they try to make you wear. The acrylic nails I got were thick and really ugly. Even more charmingly, when it was over I was told they don’t take cards, necessitating a lengthy trek for an ATM. Stay away!!! Plan ahead and make an appointment somewhere reputable.

Ouch! This place seems really popular and quick but too quick in my case. I walked out with 4 bleeding cuticles and the polish started peeling off that night(I think because of the blue stingy stuff they used to clean up my poor nails) My friend was a little better off with only 2 cut cuticles and her polish lasted for weeks. A word of advice… they are probably not all that bad during quite times, just never go at lunchtime when they rush. I am too scared to go back.
