So excited about a new art space to open in West London! And so disappointed once I actually got there. Space W10 looks and feels more like an estate agent’s office than an art gallery. Choosing subtle drawings for their opening event seems like a bit of a weird choice as they are easily missed from the street — Space W10 is located on a busy intersection of Ladbroke Grove and Harrow Road, you’d need something a bit more shouty to draw the attention of people rushing past. The exhibition itself is actually rather good, I particularly liked Greg Eason’s tiny drawings of art lovers named after the artists’ works they are seen admiring(without showing the actual paintings). What a shame I couldn’t figure out who was running the exhibition, not a nice welcome to a new space.
