Spice Hut used to be one of the best fast food outlets when it started and I have been a regular customer to all three of their branches for many years. But due to theor success, it appears the management have completely lost sight of the basic requirements that made the so successful. Over the last couple of years the quality of food and the general attitude of the staff have less than satisfactory and I will certainly not be giving them my money in the future.

Opened not to long ago, couple of years, this is not your average, this is better than average. With neon lights, fancy tables and mirrors around the place this place does look nice. The food is cheap and cheerful. Kebabs, currys, burgers, rice dishes has it all. The red sauce they do a tad bit spicy with a hint of sweetness to it is lovely! Make sure you ask for a refill as these are usually already on the tables better to have it poured fresh. One good thing they use to do was after a meal they’d give you after eights and traditional asian pan chew. Not anymore though!

spice hut is one of the best kebaps takeaways i have ever been to. served in naan bread, chunky lamb lies along with scarce salad, what contributes to the sensation that have been dished up a whole lamb. hard to finish indeed. but the star of the dish is the spice sauce, trumpeted with the clever strap line license to spice. a word of caution is needed here. if you ask for a mild kebap it will be hot, if you ask for medium it will be quite hot. burnt tongue and some tears. i once asked for a very spicy one. it killed me. it wasn’t me until two days after in when i got over it. the best thing to do is ask for a very mild and get the sauce on side. there are actually two. the normal one one is kind of orange and then there is another sauce in a purply-red fashion that looks very artificial but taste good and is not so hot. i am hooked, my best friend is too and so is my flatmate. try. the kebap is the lamb one in naan, 3,35 as far as i remember. i once witnessed someone wolfing down a chicken kebap and it didn’t do the job as well i could not comment on burguers or anything else off the menu. i am a lamb person
