‘The Spice Land’ is dingy looking shop in North Acton. They serve all manner of curries as well as burgers, sandwiches and chips! They don’t have a spit grill but if you wish to wait they have sticks of lamb & chicken shish as well as kofte. £4 gets you one skewer of your chosen kebab rolled in Nan bread or 50p less if you just want the meat boxed with salad. The chicken shish looked the most appetizing so I went with that. It was very spicy in an Indo-Asian way, almost like chicken tikka. The meat was nice and smoky but a bit too dry. The Nan bread was made freshly before my eyes and was very good if you like that type of thing with your kebab. The basic salad was just that, basic. The chilli sauce was a cheap sweet one from a squirty bottle — luckily I asked for it on the side or it would have ruined the whole kebab. The service was OK. I would not say it was friendly but they don’t keep you waiting. The server loses marks for leaving the chicken on the grill too long as another employee is seeing to other customers burgers. If you are exiting the next door pub it may tempt you but it is not the sort of place to visit in the light of day when sober.

If you want nice food cooked in a hygienic environment then this is not the place for you. If you want friendly oppose to ignorant staff this is not the place for you either. If you on the other hand like that(bad, unhygienic food & ignorant staff), then please pay them a visit. Personally I would not recommend anyone to go here.
