Great place to come after work for drinks. First time I went on friday, of course it was packed as it was the start of the Euro 2016! The atmosphere was immense, perfect place for footy and drinks.

We were enjoying an NFL American football playoff game and they shut off the TVs with 5 minutes to go because it was 23:05. It was a close game and needless to say people were irate, especially after they advertised for the Super Bowl. Are they going to shut down mid-Super Bowl? Don’t go!

tons of open tables but we couldn’t sit down because we were«only drinking»… the beer was too expensive to stand for a whole football match when there are 10 open tables. it would normally be a nice place to watch a match, but I won’t be coming back here again.

Great venue, good food and show a decent selection of sports on many big screen Sony TVs. Winston the bartender is like Usain Bolt on speed! I’ve never seen a guy move so quick.

I must preface my review by saying that I was here t eat — drawn in by their advertising outside as I was staying in an adjacent building. The screens are nice, so if you re mostly interested in football(soccer to the Americans) then ignore this. The food was really bad. A tomato cesar salad was just soggy, small and flavorless. The burger — oh what can I say. A building away is Byron’s, go there, while they don’t have proper American burgers either, they try to make a proper burger. The burger I got was«triple ground” — what does that mean? Its shape clearly showed that it was not free formed but the result of a machine and quite likely frozen before it hit the grill. The fries were lovely, I wish there were more. So in summary for sports this may be your place, for food — move along!

Don’t bother. They don’t answer the phone to take a booking and don’t trouble themselves to update their web site to indicate availability. When you do make it past the queue, neither the service nor the clientele justify the wait.

My friends and I hit this place up on a Wednesday evening to watch some football(not the American kind) and it felt like a portal to the United States. I half expected to exit the toilet and find myself in Arlington, VA. The spacious bar was packed with men(and a few women) who had come from work to watch the game on the copious number of televisions lining the walls. Those who managed to snag a table sat their briefcases aside while they munched on sports bar-appropriate food: nachos, sliders, chicken wings and enormous burgers. Although it twas crowded, we had no problem quickly getting food and drinks of our own and I discovered the nachos aren’t too bad. Sports Bar and Grill solidly does what it says on the tin. I have a feeling I’ll be back.

Quick glance: + lots of shiny Sony Bravia TVs for sports + spacious and not too rowdy + good place for catch-up on non-sporting nights + smiling, helpful staff Full review: I came here with a friend on a Friday evening for a quick catch up. There was one row of televisions hanging above the bar, and again another bank of televisions on the opposite wall, so you could sit practically anywhere and still catch the sporty actions. There wasn’t any major sporting events on the night I visited, so the venue was showing re-runs of the Australia Open from earlier in the day and so I can’t really comment on the atmosphere for watching sports. However, on such occasion I found the bar made a great spot for catching up. The games were silently showing in the background, and there wasn’t loud music blaring like you get in a lot of city bars, so I could actually have a conversation, not a shouting match, with my friend. There are a great number of tables that aren’t crammed in next to each other, so you can have a great, relaxing time over a pint or two chatting away. We shared a bucket of chips over a couple of pints, so I’m not sure how good the food generally is, but the chips came in generous portion and was tasty(can’t really get chips wrong, though, could you?). The staff comes by to collect empty plates and glasses at the same time taking order when the drinks are gone, all with a smile, which is a bonus.
