It’s easy to forgive the bad user ratings when it means this place is rarely heaving. I like that there is a decent selection of food and drinks, and that you don’t have to wait for a long time to be served. It’s clean, tasteful and the staff are lovely. A great local spot! And although the beer garden is overshadowed by a train line, it all adds to the quintessential feeling of being a tourist in London: ‘something magical could be about to happen around the next corner.’

Love the pies, really great vibe in the place. Unfortunately there is just a very poor beer selection. Although there were a few good bottles in the fridge, the taps and casks were just dreadful: the same 5 or 6 lagers and generic Bland Bitters. It’s a shame really since this place is right next door to 5 really good breweries…
I’d be back for the atmosphere, but won’t stay more than a bottle or two.

Live just down the road from this place and the improvements made are fantastic. Really good job and I look forward to taking friends there. Had one of their pies which I ordered with mash. The chicken had that taste of being reheated (if that makes sense) and the gravy was cold (not sure if intentional). I will forgive this though because overall the place and staff were very welcoming and i look forward to giving it another go.

This place has recently be totally ripped apart. And done up to the highest standard. Very nice food and great atmosphere. Big change from the way it was. A hidden gem good job to Nathian. Go and suss it out folks !!!
