You might get referred here by your GP should you need to see a specialist. The original building facing Kingsland Road is pretty grand but once you enter it’s just like any other hospital. Wipe easy floors and walls (because let’s face it, old buildings are not the best for keeping clean).
I have visited both the locomotor and foot health departments. In physio getting a repeat appointment with your physio within their recommended time frame is near on impossible but my physio goes to great lengths to fit me in. The admin people I’ve come across have unfortunately let power go to their heads. They not only told me off for confirming an appointment by email but told my physio off as well for telling me to do so!
In foot health I was offered a herbal remedy for verruca removal. «I am atheist & a scientist», I told her, «do I sound like I’ve come here to have a herbal remedy?» Needless to say, out came the liquid nitrogen. I had to laugh my way through the pain it was so bad.
You now can’t enter from Kingsland road and have to go round the side. This entrance is pretty dire — just a car park with no obvious cycle parking (it is there, trust me).
