Well I can’t say much good, tables were all dirty. Had to ask three times to clear a table, each time sure no problem but that was it just lip service. I ordered coffee of the day, you know just coffee. It was cold, I took it back and the guy says, it’s cold we’ll make another pot. I said that’ll be fine. Sit down, he never makes another pot. Approach the counter and a nice young lady says sure, I’ll make a new pot and she did thanks be to Aster. It’s a coffee place how hard could it be?

Not the most spacious Starbucks, given it is in Kings Cross and they never spell my name right. I do have a tricky name but if it was Raj, I’d say Raj. I have given them 3⁄5 as they are quite time efficient, but cleanliness of tables has always really been lacking maybe because of staff cover… Table availability is not to counted on, especially with students doing their last-minute essays in there all day. On the go, caramel macchiato. Tall please. Miraj or MJ. ;-)

I know it’s Starbucks and I debated whether to review it or not but I’ve had a pretty disappointing experience here and just figure there are better coffee places in the area. The staff are really disorganised to the point that on a day where they had 4 staff on and 3 drinks to make they took ages to make them, and not only that but they bypassed the person 2 ahead of me and got my drink to me first? Despite his drink being incredibly simple. And thennnn they blended my frappucino fairly poorly to the point that there were huge ice cubes at the bottom and the flavours weren’t well distributed; maybe I’m spoiled but when I used to buy frappucinos a lot they were well blended and it didn’t take so long(And I’m sure they have Blendtec blenders which are kind of amazing, and amusing if you look them up on YouTube) I’m not really a big Starbucks drinker but I’m sure there’s a Starbucks inside Kings Cross Station or St Pancras Station which would do a much better job. Or, you know, a nice local coffee shop.

They sometimes remember my order when I come in the morning, which makes me feel sort of special.

My one useful tip about Starbucks is that you can get a Starbucks card for £5 then have unlimited free wifi in any Starbucks in the UK. If you are traveling through here(as this location is near King’s Cross Station), I’d say it is worth it to get one if you are an obsessive email checker like myself. Oh ALSO, they have almond flavoured syrup here, which they got rid of in the US, so that makes me happy. Tall soy almond latte = a little piece of heaven.

It’s true that this is just another Starbucks… except for one integral factor: SHORTCUPS. Upon moving to the UK, I learned the following: non-fat = skinny no foam = wet short = ________(non-existent) 8oz = …? …? …(massive confusion) And not that ordering a short, skinny, wet latte is any less creepy than ordering a tall, skinny, wet latte — it’s just a much better size for my Starbucks tolerance. In conclusion, this is the first Starbucks I’ve found on this continent to offer 8oz cups = win.

Ok I know it’s a Starbucks. We all know what to expect. I have absolutely nothing profound or useful to say about this place except that I’m shocked that nobody else has Unilocaled this place! God I’m such an FTR whore! FIRST!!!
