Amazing. My much anticipated pilgrimage to Stella McCartney exceeded all my expectations. The store, a bright and airy space, looks and feels like a posh townhome. The day I visited I was lucky enough to be greeted by a very sweet and friendly young woman. Even though I didn’t make a purchase that day, she was very helpful and had not one bit of pretentiousness. Unfortunately, those are rare qualities found in most luxury store sales staff. Stella’s creations are displayed throughout the generous space in a way that makes browsing effortless and enjoyable. Upstairs she even has a room fashioned as a boudoir that is full of her lingerie, perfume and a tuffet in the center where you can watch her latest runway show on television. Most importantly, Stella uses no leather or fur in any of her creations :)

Stella McCartney is one of my favourite British designers — always feminine, gorgeous and of-the-minute, her clothes have been seen on everyone from Alexa Chung to Pixie Geldof. And her Bruton Street flagship store reflects this youthful yet sophisticated spirit — warm yet minimal, letting the clothes speak for themselves. Staff are beautiful, yet not over-bearing which is often the case in more high-end boutiques, letting you wander from rack to rack to view her stunning collections.

For a long time Stella McCartney was mostly known as the daughter of her famous father but she has proved her skills, and is now a days known and respected as a damn good British designer. Stella McCartney shop is so like her collections: fresh, light and feminine. The shop is like visiting a spa, such a feel good place. There are orchids spread in every room and light coming in from big windows. The shop is more like an apartment, with high ceilings and white wooden floors. Simply beautiful. I love her simple and elegant designs and she is usually spot on with the fresh color pallets and fabrics. The only thing are the ultra high end price tags but that is another story. I go here to get inspiration.
