I have to admit I am a real Pizza snob. I worked in the pizza business(met my wife there) and we are really particular about our pizza. We judge pizza by New York and Boston’s North End — so pretty high expectations. The pizza here at Strada was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, perfect crisp crust and a very flavorful sauce. If you love Pizza and are visiting London — I urge you to try Strada. If you live or work in London and haven’t tried Strada — don’t delay any longer — go get some awesome pizza today. They also have a respectable wine list and a very pleasant staff.

Very, very impressed with this Stada. The food was authentic and delicious. My parents were very impressed too. Excellent service. All round a very good experience. Recommend the garlic bread and the chicken w/creamy wild mushrooms and sea bass w/garlic mash. Yumbo!

Strada is a decent chain Italian restaurant and is very similar to Pizza Express. I had a lovely dinner here with my boyfriend’s family. I ordered the Pollo Funghi, which is a grilled chicken breast with a creamy mushroom sauce with rosemary potatoes and rocket on the side. It was yummy, light and the rosemary potatoes were delicious. The great thing about this location is that they accept the Taste Card during the week, so it is a great way to get a group of people to come together without killing your wallet. Overall, the place was nice, clean and I would come again.

I went with a large party, having booked a table in one of the rooms upstairs, so it is not as if they weren’t expecting us. Our food took two hours to arrive, by which time two of our party had left in disgust to avoid missing their train home. The staff were not unpleasant but there was no explanation for the wait, and no apology until the food was arriving, at which point they brought us two bottles on the house. Too little, too late. Also, the room was incredibly noisy. I had to leave for a while when it became unbearable and still had a headache the next day. When the food finally arrived it was the usual Strada fare, which is fine, but the whole experience was very unpleasant and I certainly wouldn’t return.

We went to this Strada, which is a smaller branch, after a show as it was the nearest one to the theatre and it was quite late. It was very quiet but the staff were happy to let us in and were very friendly. The service was very good and the food was great, just like in most Stradas. We had a fantastic Montepulciano red with our pasta which I’d recommend. It’s soft and smooth and good value. One little critisism is that our plates were a little grubby(eg, lots of finger marks on the edges etc, which is something I don’t like). Otherwise, a great Strada with nice staff.

Well, the food is not bad, it’s a nice place to hang around, I like the atmosphere. Service is okay, but not incredible, and I’ve been put off by the fact that the guy serving us got all pissed when I asked for a bit more parmesan cheese… Weird. Our food came quite quickly which is always good, but then again, we only ordered pasta. It’s good, the products are fresh, but for the quantity and the time it takes to make it is really overpriced!

We visited the Strada after an afternoon at «War Horse». We decided to eat before returning to Reading(where we live) so we found the Strada after deciding to eat«Italian». We had excellent attention and we were able to read the menu without being hurried. There were three of us and we all tried our own requirements. I had the Gamberoni as a starter followed by the Scallops. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio with the starter and a Chianti with the main meal. My family had Caprese and Spaghetti al Ragu /Strips of Beef and Pork Loin Chop. They drank Merlot. The service was personal and each person who served us smiled and made us feel most welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and thank the staff of Strada

If i hadn’t been to a strada before and known how good they are, i would have been totally put off after the experience at this branch! The service was outrageously bad! We had to ask for everything and were made to wait a long time for each course and wine… so much so it actually stopped us from ordering a dessert(like that ever happens!) Luckily me and my friends were really enjoying the frangelico so that made it a little less painful towards the end. The food was good as you would expect from Strada, but for a Wednesday night the service should have been a whole lot better.

Really enjoyed a meal here– very nice pizza and wine. Reasonable prices, cheerful and helpful staff. I would reccomend you try here if you are looking for a nice italian in Holborn. Also good at lunch times.

Pretty decent italian food here. I had the lobster and tiger prawn risotto recently and it was delicious — big chunks of lobster just how it should be. Shame there was so much thyme added though, as it completely overpowered the simple flavours of the lobster and prawns. Dessert of Fondente al Cacao was not a bad choice at £4.95, though I’m kicking myself for not having ordered the Vanilla pannacotta served with mixed berry coulis(my friend ordered it and it was amazing! Overall the menu is varied and offers a wide selection across the board in terms of pizza, pasta, meat, fish and veggie dishes. The staff were also friendly and attentive. The queues outside are testament to the popularity of the restaurant.

I had never heard of Strada until I started working in the Central London a few years ago, as this one was at the end of the road from where I worked I have been a few times now. The décor is not overly complicated or too modern and the atmosphere is very welcoming. It feels very like a family run/independent type restaurant rather than a chain, which adds to its appeal. The menu is quite extensive, with pizza, pasta and risotto as well as ‘secondi’ type dishes like steak, chicken etc. For Central London the prices are very reasonable. Look out for the complimentary bottle of still water, which was a plus as this is what I usually drink with my meals so didn’t have to buy additional drinks.
