Another Strada restaurant, usually I have higher expectations from this chain but I have to say this one was a bit disappointing. My friend had the special which we thought was chicken but tasted like pork and she was not that impressed. I had the seafood risotto which was quite yummy but slightly tricky to eat. One of the mussel shells had broken so I was constantly picking out fragments. Also I realised how difficult it is to eat a prawn that has its head and skin(exoskeleton?) on with a knife and fork. I really like prawns though so there was no chance of not eating it. Other than that the staff were all quite friendly and cheerful and we enjoyed our time out in the evening breeze. I think it’s a decent place to go because it’s hidden behind Oxford street so it does not get that crowded but in terms of the chain there’s better ones to try.

Oven broken so no pizza, salmon comes with a pasta but they didn’t have that type of para, disabled toilet out of order, service very slow, waitress used her hands to hold Parmesan cheese and grate it over my dish.

I ate at this Strada before Christmas with a group of 40 colleagues and it was a great success. Because of the size of our group they gave us the downstairs area and we were able to really get into the festive spirit. I had a vegetarian pizza off the set menu for my main and it was delish(though I was coveting the steak my boss had). Great location and a decent sized area inside.

We were looking for a nice restaurant near the Tower Bridge and was happy to find Strada! I had the risotto with butternut squash & pumpkin. My daughter had the spinach ravioli with pesto. Both were very tasty! Lemoncello Spritzer was so yummy too! Overall a great little find!

I ordered the Cotto pizza. which was topped with Italian ham, olives, and chesnut mushrooms. It was really good. The pizza is not pre-sliced when they bring it to you. You may want to ask them to slice it for you as it wasn’t very easy to cut with fork and knife. I cannot remember the name of this dish but 2 people in our group ordered it. It was the best dish on our table that night. It was a light tossed with olive oil, sausage, broccoli, and red pepper flakes.

Get to the Chase: Pros: 1) Oh my damn do they do pizzas well! 2) It’s affordable without the lack of quality(love the Cotto Pizza! Could eat 1 or 2 of these myself… Thin flat pizzas, with ham, and not over-sauced nor with ridiculous grease or cheese) 3) It’s a chain that hasn’t bastardized the Italian cuisine 4) Great customer service and attentive waiters Cons: 1) Still not authentic, genuine Italian, but great for what you pay and for being a chain

Cosy Strada just off Oxford Street. Service is brilliant and attentive. Seated quickly and if not — they acknowledge you and apologize for the wait. Servic
