This vegetarian place is great for lunch. The service is quick and the amount of food you get is substantial. The salad box is usually what I go for, some salad, couscous and other veggies. For an extra 40p you can get feta cheese and your selection of olives. They have a lot of choices for olives which is good to keep the salad interesting because I will be back.

Is there anything better than an amazing salad? Wait… don’t answer that right away. Is there anything better than an amazing salad that involves couscous, fresh dolmades, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, red cabbage, hummus, grilled peppers, cherry tomatoes, carrots, feta, courgettes, and olives(ohhhh those olives!) all simply mixed with olive oil, lemon juice and a dash of salt in a container that’s so big you can only manage half of it… all for… wait for it… £3? The answer is no. No wonder the owner of this humble stall has won Market Trader of the Year in 2009! And no wonder there is a queue everyday. Colour me impressed. And stuffed fuller than the dolmades I just devoured.

Part of Whitecross Street Market. Good option for lunch whenever you’re feeling hungry but somewhat virtuous — a small salad box is incredibly filling because they jam it full to the brim. I’m developing a particular love for quinoa and beets, weirdly, but I think what makes the whole thing really good is the tahini they pour over the top. The bread that comes with the salad box is pretty ho-hum though — very dry.
