I have been wanting to try this hole-in-the-wall Chinese take-out for a while. Every time I get out of the 38 or 55 bus at Mare St in Hackney Central you can see it doing decent business with people coming and going. The owner, who served me was extremely nice. If the food had been better it would have been a real bargain, unfortunately my food was really not that great. My rice paper rolls were(surprisingly) deep fired(something I have never seen before) and essentially inedible due to the very high fat level(we aren’t in Scotland are we?). My Szechuan tofu dish was tasty enough in a greasy Chinese take-out sort of way(something I might occasionally order). The overall cost was pretty low. I will certainly try some of their other dishes in the future to see if I can hopefully get something better. Better luck next time!
