I love Indian food! I love it a lot! And Tandoori Villa is sooooo cute! The name is a little bit of a lie cuz it’s not really a villa it’s more like a living room with about 7 tables in it. So small but size doesn’t matter does it? :) We came here for my landlord’s leaving dinner and I already heard good things about this restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed. First we shared some Papadoms with Mango Chutney and another really tasty sauce which I think was something with lemon. I then had Saag Paneer which didn’t just look absolutely mouthwatering but also tasted fantastic! The Peshwari Naan I had with it was close to perfect as well! We were about 20 people and from everyone I just heard the best comments about their dishes so I guess you can eat everything from the menu and it must be a good choice! You also get more than enough of what you order so we all kind of rolled out of the restaurant with a stupid grin on our faces. A really good thing is also that it is a BYO. There is an Off licence just accross the street so if you want to get more cheap alcohol you just pop over and get it there. AMAZING, AWESOME, ALL I EVERWANTED :) I’ll be back!

Wow! How have I missed this superb Indian all these years? It’s very small, with just 7 tables, and can be busy. The single room isn’t fancy. It’s a bit like you’re in someone’s house. And in fact the cooking is exactly like that: it has no pretensions, no colorings(many look the same). You get chunks and bits of real, hand-mood food, not pre-made sauces and ready-to-go meat. It seems like a family outfit too, with dad directing the kids around. It’s BYOB if you want booze; there’s a nice off-license just around the corner on St Mary’s Road. They happily put our extra beer in their fridge until we needed it. They’ve got those little tealight-powered hotplates to keep your dishes just warm enough. Most dishes — and there are a lot to choose from — are in the £6-£7 range. The house specialties are £8. My wife and I got tasty poppadums with sauces, two mains(lamb and chicken), some tasty fried bhindi for a veg, and plain steamed rice. It all came to about £22, and was really delicious. Got a real neighbourhood feel to it, too. They were doing a brisk business in takeaway.
