Conveniently positioned between tower bridge and London bridge along tooley street, this popular tesco is bigger than it appears. It has a good salad bar and a partnership with Euphorium Bakery meaning you can grab a good roll and take it to sit overlooking the Thames at City Hall if you like. No value range etc, but still a good option for buying in weekly bulk if you are working near by and trying to keep costs low!

Having recently moved in to the area and having tried the few grocery stores around the Tesco Metro is by far the best one. It looks small from the outside but once inside and down the escalator it is clear that it is fairly big. They have a decent sized section of ready meals, salads and sandwiches but if that is what you are after the M&S Simply Food next to the Hilton is slightly better. There is a good sized section of meat and produce and the vegetables have so far been of good quality. Prices are decent as well and I do like that there is seldom any long lines to pay so as far as grocery stores go this one is definitely one of the better ones.

This is a decent sized Tesco — just check out the meat and produce sections. A popular place for suits grabbing food on the go, the queue can get quite long during lunch and rush hour. Eight self-checkout stands help move things along. They can certainly do with more than one ATM machine.
