I called in this branch of Tesco on a recent trip to London and I was pleasantly surprised with the appearance of this branch, and the range for a store of this size, they even had a television on with the news, near the checkout area, which added a cool vibe, and made me feel like I wasn’t in a tesco at all! This Tesco is probably one of my favourite branches, as it is only meant to be a «metro» store, which are smaller stores, but bigger than express stores put in busy city locations, like this one, however this store stocks things the bigger Tesco’s don’t and even some products I have never seen in Tesco before, which include certain varieties of Wilkin and Sons Jam, including an interesting Rhubarb and Ginger flavour. This Tesco is in a good location, and is on Regent Street and is quite close to a few eateries and a VUE cinema, making this the perfect place to grab something to eat and drink, to take into the cinema, with cinema prices being so high. They is no toilets in this Tesco, but you wouldn’t really expect it for a store of this size, so the nearest place is probably the VUE cinema near enough next door, and they don’t seem to mind you just calling in, without seeing a film. This store is actually quite a nice, cool branch with a more modern look, rather than a traditional tesco appearance, although a few tweaks like the flooring, are still the traditional Tesco way. Prices here seem to be good, for London and a Tesco in general, with a few items being slightly pricey, but I don’t mind paying that, such as for the jams, if they are hard to find elsewhere. Overall, this Tesco store is quite big and has a good selection and a cool look, so although I don’t like giving large companies 4 stars, this one definitely deserves it!

A good little find for getting everything for your lunch with out paying through the nose. The shop is a large Metro shop but i think it is the busiest shop i have ever seen. It offers all that a normal Metro would with a large salad counter which is good to get something healthy. Even though the shop looks like somewhere that is in the process of being looted, the staff have it under control. The shop has far more tills than is usual, which helps the very long queues move at a very good rate. The most amout of time I have spent in the queue is about 3 minutes. Which i think is better then most other shops. It is also good for getting all those essentials you need with the Tesco guarantee to keep prices low. Very good for the hart of London. I would recommend that you get there early as the salad counter dose sometimes get low at peak times. but this is the only problem with the shop. all in all very good.

Get the fresh! naturally good sandwiches(brand) — I’m not even vegetarian but LOVE them. Have never found such fresh sandwiches in NYC for so cheap — let alone in a supermarket! If anything, in NYC they may be found in a gourmet health food store. Tesco is fast and cheap and its definitely not all fab but I’m really gonna miss getting to get legit quality sandwiches fast and cheap. Also — LOVE the eco-conscious packaging on almost ALL the to-go sandwiches I saw(they probably use it on other goods too) I’ve seen in to-go places/supermarkets — including M&S. If you are a visitor from NYC(or elsewhere from the US) — you have to go grocery shopping. The experience(system, food variety, packaging, selling style) feels really unique. I thought that London and NYC would be similar — and they are — but they are much more different than I expected. Conclusion(b/c we must conclude after all): let yourself wander the aisles, observe your surroundings, people watch, and get a sandwich(they have a surprisingly huge variety!).

Thank god for this Tesco location. I stayed nearby in Picadilly Circus and this is a great place to pick up random snacks, drinks, etc. The place is pretty well maintained considering the sheer amount of people that come through this place daily.

Tesco saved my butt so many times during my stay in Piccadilly. It’s a pretty big chain in London but this location was near the circle, just a block away from all the crowds; it was clean, organized, and very moderately priced. What blew my mind was their meal deals: for 2 pounds you can get a bag of chips, a pre-packaged sandwich or pasta salad, and a drink.

I have been overcharged over tweny times in this store since it opened several monthes ago. Though Customer Services investigated at first-the over charging has continued and they are refusing to further investigate it.

Crowded and busy, this urban located Tesco has nearly everything you’d find in a full-size store, though of course the fishmonger and bakers are limited. Reasonable produce and dairy sections, of course a little size-limited. A really decent location, not even a hop skip or jump from the busy Piccadilly Circus. This is where the locals shop and I was able to pop in and grab what I needed before hopping onto the Underground. Prices seemed to be right in line with the Tesco Extras out in the suburbs and I found the staff to be efficient.

Get your UK goods here like Cadbury hot chocolate, Twinings tea, single malt liquor, more Cadbury & stuff you can’t get in the states! Try some Dorset mueslix type cereal or more unique teas not sold at home that you can(try) to impress your friends with. Alot of the liquid refreshment is sold in glass bottles, though, which renders a good taste or is it just my imagination?

Several varieties of luscious cheddar cheese, loads of Cadbury, a lovely bottled Pimms, and more mustards, chutneys, and condiments that I can handle. This Tesco location is very clean, though not sensibly organized, but at least the lad magazine displays are somewhat hidden to protect a gentleman’s privacy. Excellent when you need a couple of ingredients to complete the night’s meal preparations.

This is my favourite of all the Tescos. Not only is it really central but it’s actually really big inside. Because it is in a pretty fancy part of town it has lots of really nice food here, and if it is something particular you’re after this branch will have it. I usually come here to buy dinner on the way home from college and they have a great section at the back of the vegetable section where everything is near its sell by date so is reduced to about half its RRP, such good value when you know you’re going to eat it that night, Also they have loads of the self check-out machines here so you’re never waiting more than a few minutes even at it’s busiest times. I would avoid it at about 5.30 p. m though because all the office workers from Mayfair seem to spill in after work and it gets packed.
