If you need a bagel 24/7, this place totally fits the bill. It’s slightly more expensive than Brick Lane and not upto that standard, but it’s not a bad call. The bagels are fresh and they have a wide range of toppings. Oh and they sell some sweet treats, which look delicious! Be sure to take cash though, because they don’t take card.

Okay… So I won’t upload a picture of me stuffing my face in the middle of the night with a massive salt beef bagel with delicious pickles and bright yellow mustard smothered all over my face — there’s really no need for you to see that! This place is just a rather old looking bakery(I hear you think) but I simply love it! They make fresh bagels everydays using no bad fats, are open 24 hours, and are super cheap! What’s not to like? Errrr their apple crumble’s not so good though… so maybe I’ll just stick to their bagels!(Hence, minus 1 star.)

Best bagels! 24 hours a day and such good value for money! If you get there at about 9pm or 10am you will get the freshest batch.

This place is open 24 hours and has amazing burekas(Mediterranean pastry with spinach or feta or with meat) yum! All though I once bought their lemon cheesecake and it was quite the disappointment, didn’t taste good at all considering baking and cakes should be their forte, but for sausage rolls and such this place is great and cheap!

A bakery open 24 hours! What more can you ask for! This place has got a mad selection of cakes and pastries! Probably too many! The French bread they do is probably the best iv had in London! My only quibble is that some times it’s not as fresh all the time, this kind of depends on what time of day you go there.

This place is dank as fuck. It literally has fast food bagels 24⁄7. Like literally lox and cream cheese bagels 24⁄7.

This little bakery is one of the best parts about living in Stoke Newington. It is open 24/7, and it’s become an excellent substitute for a dirty kebab on my way home from a night out. The pro is, their bagels are also delicious when I’m sober! :) Everything is very reasonably priced(I normally get the smoked salmon for £2.10!) and tastes absolutely fresh. Staff have always been really friendly despite the fact that they were working into the wee hours in the morning. I tried their croissants and pain au chocolat as well, which, although not bad, weren’t really anything special, so that’s why I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5.

It’s super cheap and open ALLTHETIME however the staff have never been too polite or welcoming and I really feel it would nice if there was the option to have your bagel toasted. Just putting it out there.

The bagels are just as good as the ones that you find in the more well known bagel shops in Brick Lane, but it’s that the fact that everything is pre packed is the obvious place where we are losing stars here. Maybe you can do the fun create-your-own bagel stuff in the day, but that’s not the point, I only ever come late at night, so it doesn’t matter. My tuna mayo(no cucumber, no sweetcorn — they didn’t have any of that fancy stuff) bagel wad good, so no big deal. Nice cakes too… and pizza slices… and samosas… and lots of other bready goodness food stuffs.

The Bagel house is a nice place to go if you want to enjoy a good time with your friend. Food is delicious, staff quite helpful, and the atmosphere totally perfect and agreable!

You know when you’ve overdone it when stumbling home in the early hours of the morning, you get within 100 yards of your front door and you declare you just can’t take another step and stumble into The Bagel House on the corner and order up their ‘finest smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, please!’. Those few bites, for that’s all you can manage are essential for you to be able to complete your journey through the door, up the stairs and into the bedroom, flop onto the bed. Trouble is these few bites are all I can ever manage of these bagels it doesn’t matter what state I’m in, they’re tough little buggers. But then the Bagel House ain’t no classy joint and Stokey isn’t renowned for being the Mecca of Bagel lovers, not this end of Stoke Newington High Street at any rate. And so what if the staff are sulky? They’ve been up half the night and you seem to be talking to something just over their right shoulder rather than them with that silly grin plastered across your face.

The Bagel House is a great little bakery and take out place if you live in the area or are passing through. Whether chirpily skipping to work in the morning or flat out drunk at the end of a long night there is something for everybody here. From the bakery point of view they sell plain bagels as well as rye and white loaves. I have never had stale baked goods from here, but it’s really good when you happen upon fresh batches of bagels coming out of the oven. Pasties and a variety of savoury filled bagels are great to take away. Prices are keen and even when you splash out on smoked salmon and cream cheese it is not much of a dent in your pocket. Hot salt beef is good too. To finish off with there are patissier style cakes and fruit tarts plus coffee and tea. Appreciated by a wide strata of society for both the grub and the late opening hours. This place is only ever seems to be closed on Jewish holidays. Popular with the police from the legendary Stoke Newington Police Station across the road. The only complaint I have is that these coppers act to type, having an insatiable appetite for the Bagel House dougnuts, and usually all doughnuts are gone by early evening. Maybe the police should be restricted to only buying the jam doughnuts. That would leave the ring doughnuts, still very tasty, to the civilians as the police like to refer to us nowadays. Only a suggestion officer, there is no need to taser me.
