Good beers, lovely feel to the interior with a cracking (and generous cash prize) pub quiz on Tuesdays, I really rate this place as the best pub in the area. Food is good too. A lovely feel to this place.

Great food, horrific service. we walked in around 17:45, the place was virtually empty. After 30 minutes of waiting and checking on the waitress several times, we were told that the order was mixed up and it will be fixed shortly. 25 minutes later and we got everything at the same time, appetizers drinks and main course. On top of it, the waitress was rude enough to tell us that it is delayed only by 40 minutes, not 50 as I claimed so I should be more accurate. Really???

The Bell is a lovely little Walthamstow gem. The décor is comfy with lots of sofas and good, but not too loud music. It’s a very good place to catch up with friends. I’m unsure what it is like on weekends as I visited on a Tuesday, but the atmosphere was relaxed and homey.
The Bell is an interesting historical part of Walthamstow as it is a former communist headquarters! It probably easily features within the top buildings in Walthamstow. The building from the outside is quite impressive and beautiful.
The food menu is extensive, but not expensive as its in the 10£/plate range. I didn’t have food, but enjoyed the drinks that I had.
This was my first experience with The Bell and I will be returning soon. The Bell is officially on my favourite Walthamstow pub list.

Really nice food selection but such a boring place. One of hundreds of boozers that serves food at restaurant prices, has olive green and grey walls, with ‘quirky’ features. Not a great atmosphere as it’s lost its place… It’s out of date by trying to be classy, and is neither a real pub nor a real food place. Miss I’m afraid

Great pub. The burger was excellent, chips were brilliant and big portions. Staff were very good apart from the guy who took my food order, as I asked for the burger well done and I didn’t want all the things listed on the menu. I was told the burger may come as it is. The first time I’ve ever had that in a pub. It’s not up to the pub how you get your food when you’re paying their wages.

Walthamstow is changing and it’s places like that that make it a fabulous borough. The Bell is a great place to go. I’m not a beer specialist so won’t comment on this too much… but there is choice. Went there on a Saturday lunch with friends and we had a great time. It was packed and the only reason why I don’t put this place a fifth star is that it seems to be the headquarters of all the E17 hipsters young mums and dads bringing their babies to compare them with the other hipsters. Anyway … The food is great, tasteful (sharing platters are big enough to share and to eat a reasonable amount unlike some other pubs) and the selection is good enough. The menu is not too big to ensure the quality of the products and everything looks fresh.
On the front of the pub it says «only over 21 after 8pm» maybe they should say «only over 18 from 1pm» :-) do not hesitate to go unlike you hate beards, and cyclists … And banies:-)

The Bell is a fantastic pub with polite & friendly bar staff, plenty of tasty ales and some great food on offer.
The menu specials are forever changing bringing new lunchtime & evening options to the plate and there’s always new ales to try pretty much every time we visit.
Although the pub is rather large it still manages to maintain a cosy and comfortable atmosphere. There is William Morris floral wallpaper designs dotted around which compliments the wooden décor and is a nice touch to show of a bit of Walthamstow’s heritage.
The Bell is a must for all E17 residents to try and I would fully recommend it to Walthamstow visitors looking for a top pub and a top pint.

Great pub for family Sunday lunch. large open space, very child friendly with a great selection of food and drink available. All the food we ordered was well cooked and fresh. We were also lucky enough to get outside into the beer garden. Good honest British pub.

Great selection of ales on tap with staff who were clued up enough to answer questions I had.
I tried the beef roast on my visit and I can highly recommend it. Just the right amount of food to make you want to nap as soon as you finish which is what Sundays are all about! I did have a bite of the burger and although I wasn’t a huge fan other people seemed to enjoy it.
If you are lucky enough to be there when the sun is shining they got a small garden out the back where you can top up your tan while keeping your alcohol levels just right.

I love this pub! Such a great neighbourhood vibe. Lots of choices on the menu plus the daily special. They also have Sunday Roasts on Sundays (obviously). The only thing I didn’t manage to find was a salad. However there’s plenty to satisfy all tastes — vegetarian food, burgers, fish and chips, steak, chicken, bangers and mash… delicious. A great range of beer and wine too.
They also have great theme nights — jazz night, quiz night, dance nights. Go along and check them out … It’s a great place to visit!

The new owners have done an amazing job on the refurb of such a beautiful pub. Perfectly kept ales, great music, lovely REAL fire and a superb clientele make this pub exactly what Walthamstow needed. Finally we’ve been given a local we can be proud of.

Easily the nicest pub in Walthamstow. A great selection of draught beers and even better bottled ones. Nice décor and comfortable seating choices. It gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights but the vibe is great. At last, a local pub that feels a bit cosmopolitan!
I don’t think they are serving food yet (apart from delicious pork pies!) but I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
