A good upmarket eclectic pub. There. Is a really nice look to this place. It reminds me a bit of a favorite of mine north of the river, The Snooty Fox.
Shame it doesn’t quite live up to its North London lookalike, but there was still some good beer in the form of Adnams Ghost Ship

This is my new favourite pub in SE5. The interiors in the Cambria is just wonderful with a beautiful back garden and very friendly helpful staff as well as a lively clientele. The bar offers a full selection of beers, ales and spirits and quite an eclectic menu. They organise special group evenings and cabaret afternoons upstairs. Great venue for an amazing Sunday roast when you get to mix with a lovely mix of crowd before you head off to an evening in one of the Vauxhall bars, which are only 10 minutes away. This is what I call successful management!

Completely unaware of this pub, we found it through the Unilocal map search! We walked down from Coldharbour Lane through a residential estate and under a sketchy looking rail bridge to eventually find the place.
It’s bright and welcoming from the outside — but we were still a little hesitant given the unwelcoming walk in the dark. Stepping throught the door though, this all changed.
The décor was completely unexpected for the area — chandeliiers. print wallpaper and stylish furniture. Not to mention a studded red leather bar. The friendlyness of the staff added to what was a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere on a Sunday night. A real mix of locals in here — hipsters and hip replacements.
The food looked decent too. WIll be back for a Sunday roast no doubt!

A great place to gather with friends. Relaxed and friendly service (in the right way!). Reasonable prices for darned good food. They also host music and quiz nights here and I gather they are a storm — a big hit with locals and visitors alike. Given it’s tucked away on sidestreet, The Cambria is doing very well. Long may it stay that way!

Fantastic transformation. We are all so happy to have such an amazing local. Amy is a great chef and Steve and Paul are great hosts. Everybody works very hard to make you feel welcome and happy!

The Cambria, my local pub is rather oddly situated in the middle of a very residential area where even a newsagent is a challenge to find. Recently closed for refurbishment the new Cambria is decorated with Chandeliers, grand chairs and a lovely beer garden, opulent and stylish.
The staff are friendly, the drinks and food are pretty good in price and in quality. It is not a ground breaking bar but it is a nice place to go for an hour or two. I do however question their choice of music.
