Pretty okay, Wetherspoons situated just 3 minutes walk from Forest Hill main line station by Devonshire Road exit though, in there I was met by a very large pub that must of been a Cinema or old theatre possibly before, loads of table seating area in this place and and in not bad condition décor wise, I was not to impressed by the bar staff although at the time there was a empty bar area no queues, and plenty of bar staff available but they seem a little arrogant and reluctant to serve anyone… Ok moving swiftly on from that, I did eat at this place and found the food was pretty good and edible all in all a good place to have drink if you round this area.

Leckeres und günstiges Essen in kürzester Zeit serviert. Nettes Ambiente in einem alten Theater; billiger Alkohol; seltsame Leute Alles in allem: zu empfehlen!

its a wetherspoons so its pretty much the same as any other spoons in a old building which has been the old cinema, bingo hall and who knows what else nice tables outside if you want to smoke or eat outside. friendly locals never seen any trouble there even on weekends good place to go to warm up your drinking before hitting the clubs ! bus and trains right on doorstep of pub more or less !

Ok, it’s a wetherspoons so don’t be getting your expectations up… but this is a great pub! Cheap drinks and cheap food(but actually surprisingly good food!) It’s a beautiful building, an old cinema. It probably suffers from being too big a space for some people but I like it as it never feels too busy(although they need to get more staff — at one point today there was 9 people waiting to be served and one person behind bar.) All in all though — perfect for when you don’t want to cook and especially good for hangover breakfasts!!!

Capitol suffers from being too grand a building for the business it serves. This former bingo hall is now a Weatherspoons and therefore lacks the musical vibe to create the atmosphere that would bring it to life. Its vast size means there is plenty of air(great for claustrophobics) and seats but also means it lacks the intimate feel that most local pubs enjoy. It has the usual Weatherspoon menu which is always good if you don’t want to cook or splash out and the café at the front is good for a quick coffee and short rest. It is frequented by mainly locals and the usual Weatherspoon aficionados.
