Helpful, no lines. Cheapest place I found however I prob should have purchased online and shipped to store(free) for an even cheaper price, with online sales better than in store most times.

Carphone is the best place to get a cheap, easy to use Go phone when abroad or living in London. When I was there a minute on the phone within the UK was about 15p while minutes to the US were only 5p. Best part was that even when you needed a top-up, you could still receive calls and texts. This location was my particular go-to-top-up spot and sometimes the service was great but other times I felt ignored and dismissed because I wasn’t purchasing anything they’d help the new phone owners first then I’d get my top up. I loved that I could also top up at Sainsbury’s down the street if I couldn’t make it to carphone before they closed.

I went here recently to purchase a mobile broadband stick and was told t mobile was the best one to suit my needs. So off I went happy as Larry with my brand new mobile broadband stick. Only when I got home I found out that when I surf the net the image compression is really high so all the images are blurred. So I phoned up t-mobile who informed me that because I use a mac I cant change the settings on the image compression. Not good news! So I proceed to call the Carphone warehouse who tell me that I cannot exchange it for a different brand as it’s not broken. Clearly the sales assistant who sold me the product didn’t have enough product information. So I am taking the matter further and writing a letter to the manager as I don’t want to be stuck with it for 18 months. What a bloody palava.

I had to visit this shop 3 times in the last two weeks so I really feel like part of the furniture there at this stage. First time I needed to buy a new phone, and I asked what network was good value. The sales assistant convinced me to go with Talk mobile which ended up costing me a fortune. I lost that phone on a night out a week later so went back and got a new phone and a new sim card with a new network. Everything was great then until one morning my phone died(it was 6 days old may i add) and when I went back the man told me I must have pressed some buttons to break it. I was really annoyed that he was blaming me for this and got quite upset in the store. I then asked to speak with the manager who sorted it out within minutes, replacing the phone no questions asked. There are always loads of staff there to help you and it is the cheapest shop in the area for phones but just do your homework before you go in.

If you like to go out a lot and often misplace mobiles as I do, The Carphone Warehouse is your simple and economical solution. They offer cheap pay as you go mobiles, starting around £5. You can buy sim cards and top up your mobile if you have orange, Vodaphone, O2, etc. There are also monthly plans available by contract that you can sign up for in store, along with loads and loads of mobile accessories. Usually, I’m in and out and off with a new phone in less than 10 minutes!
