Locally the best ever in creek road. Nice atmosphere especially when you off the office. Cheese fries and the falafel are our favourite ones. They have roof terrace as well which is awesome. Recommended!

relaxed atmosphere — with a quirky list of drinks, friendly efficient staff — the menu is a little limited but everything I have ever eaten there is tasty and I am there quite a lot.

Great food and nice atmosphere in that pub. Definitely a nice place to hang out with colleages after work.

Rarely ever in this area, but had dinner here last night and it was quite a pleasant experience. The general atmosphere is very inviting and the furnishings quite comfortable. It seemed like a great place to hang with friends on a weekday night, and was clearly popular for that as the dining room was packed!
They have 5 regular beers on tap, but apparently have 3 guest beers that change every day — bonus! An old man came by asking for a pint of the Pure Gold guest ale that was on tap, saying that it was a real man’s ale. I looked over and smiled as I was drinking the same. Good to know that I’m a real man :)
Lots of gastro-​pubby options but the dishes that really stood out from the menu were the rabbit and the paella. I didn’t try the paella, but it came out in a bit pan (as it should) and smelled utterly delectable. I had the steak pie which wasn’t anything to write home about, but will pretty much fill you up unless you happen to have worms in your stomach. I think I can still feel it there today

Refit has definitely made this place much more desirable. Always had a great amount of space (plus the beer garden) — really good to see it being used to it’s full gastro pub potential.

I used to live right near this pub and I made good use of it! We’ve been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the past, the food was always good value for the money and with desserts to die for! The sell a large variety of foreign beers and they used to have a display and description of all the bottles on the wall so you could work your way through trying them all out!
There are pool tables out in the back along with a large projecter screen for showing sports, although I’m not sure this survived the refurbishment.
The other great things about this pub is it’s large beer garden which is great in the summer as they have BBQs there, and also the pub has a cash machine which obviously is very handy!
The place recently had a makeover and looks fantastic! It’s definitely worth a visit

Wow, this place has totally transformed from being a mostly-​emptyish ‘old mans’ pub to a modern gastropub with excellent food & a wide & varied clientele. The beer garden has been refurbished & is a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon.
The food really is outstanding, using high quality seasonal ingredients & a lot of imagination. The staff are all very good, there is one waitress who is outstanding & quite zany. She makes the whole experience much more enjoyable. It’s now hard to get a table on some evenings so book ahead to avoid disappointment.

One of the best pubs locally, Used to be the duke of sussex and they have just had a refit they have a large beer garden that’s for the smokers, inside still has that warm feeling no bright lights here. good food and great chunky chips, staff who have a memory for faces and know how to have a laugh and a joke. Pool tables out the back and tv screens for the footie/​rugby.
The sort of pub a girlie can walk in and get a drink without anyone noticing. o and amazing vases of flowers on the bar too.
