This sweet little wine bar/restaurant is near the hotel I usually stay at while in town for work, and it turned out to be the perfect place to grab a solo dinner at the bar. The first bar in the front has a nice little pub bite menu and the one further back serves the full menu — there is of course seating throughout the place as well. I think the menu changes often but I ordered a Moroccan Lamb dish with mint sauce and cous cous and it was absolutely delicious. The bartender also graciously paired a medium bodied red wine to go with it. I truly enjoyed this little gem of a place and hope to return!

Went for a spontaneous drink of wine and light food, and it was a great decision. I ordered scallops, and it was solid. Having said that, the portion felt a bit small, and some of the accompanying vegetables tasted a bit bitter. Clearly, room for improvement but nothing major. I only tried this starter so can’t speak for mains. They had a good selection of wine. Our waitress approved of our wine choice, saying that she drinks it too which was nice. Service was overall great. We were seated and served pretty much right away although we didn’t have any bookings. Lastly, I loved the ambience. Very cute and Belgravia-esque. Would go back another time.

Loved it. Had a reservation for 4 on a Friday night, had to change to 7 at the last minute. Steve the waiter has been amazingly accommodating even tho he had to move a few tables!(physically) Everyone in my party loved the food and we had amazing time overall. Definitely coming back.

Recommended by a friend. First night in London. Ordered the Ebury Burger w/cheese which came with fries. Burger was good but not amazing; fries were solid. Nice atmosphere at bar. Had a decent ’10 Cotes du Rhone by Andre Brunel. The main restaurant seemed. Next time I’m there I will order more adventurous things.

Visited this restaurant on recommendation, after our visit it is now clear why the last reviews are over 5 months old. Food is fair, but service is poor. After ordering and receiving your aperative, the drinks for dinner arrive. After finishing your main course you may order dessert, but if you decide espresso wil do, the disappointment of the poor English speaking waitress is obvious. If your finished, you have to approach the bar to pay. A good evening is a too much an expactation in terms of service. Our advice, search for a better alternative, the reviews of the past are history! Food fair, service very poor

Delicious meal, great atmosphere. Enjoyed the salmon with spinach and crushed new potatoes. Glass of the house recommended red. There is a small but comfortable bar to wait at while the table is readied. Wait staff were very attentive. Full marks all round.

Came here last night for a cheeky glass of red and can’t believe I don’t live here! Three of us sat in the bar — the whole place was really quiet for a Saturday evening and there were a couple of individuals dining alone, which I love to see — shows a friendly and inviting place! All three of us tried the shiraz(scrummy!) and the burgers(extra scrummy!) I also tried a glass of the merlot, which was absolutely delicious. I love the fact that I was torn between the £5 merlot and the £8.50 Cab, and they recommended the merlot. It’s lovely when a place cares about customers over a quick quid.

Came here via recommendation from the hotel i was staying at. It looked like a cozy restaurant. Service was ok. Food took forever to get. I think they may of served out entrée to another table. We waited over a hour for our entrée. I ordered bangs and mash which is just sausages over mash potato and gravy on top. My wife ordered fish. They didnt even said anything till i was really annoyed that it is taking so much time. Of course i had to first approach the situation. When we got the food, the fish tasted unseason like they rushed it. The bang and mash was ok. After all it is sausage and mash potato. Only reason I’m giving them a extra star is because they try in the end to make up for it by taking the water and tip off the bill. Not like that really matters. I would of rather they approach the situation earlier instead of a hour later. If they would of told us that I would understand. But to wait and pretend that it was ok and for the table that came fifteen minutes later that ordered the same get served first. That was not cool. Pretty much sums it all.

We popped in here on the off chance last night as it looked both cosy and busy. Thankfully someone did not turn up for their booking so we got squeezed in(typical London restaurant –very small tables very close together!!). I had scallops(a bit small but the butternut squash purée was lovely) and my friend had a goats cheese tartlet. I then had the duck which was great and my friend had guinea fowl. The food was good but the atmosphere was better. Definitely recommend :)

Ate here as the final meal during a group tour of London. Had a three course meal. Lamb app was too salty. Duck entrée was perfect. Chocolate fudge cake dessert was SO. AMAZING. Loved the wall decorations in the back room – lots of punnily titled books.

This place has great service, decent atmosphere and good food. I had the 3 course meal for 22 pounds and it was quite good. It came with champagne but I had already ordered a wine so they let me substitute it with that instead. Definitely an enjoyable place with a large selection of wine.

wine selection was pretty vast so loved that! food was just mediocre. liked that they had a lot of fish choices & looked as if they were going for«fusion» on a few dishes which = doused in sweet chili sauce. nothing memorable.

Slightly off the beaten track, this was a great favourite of a number of colleagues when I worked close by. It’s a cosy sort of place and, if you avoid the Friday rush, usually quite relaxing. The food is a little pricey, but the bar menu has a selection of mains around £7.50-£9.50, including a vegetarian option. If you go for the a la carte menu, starters run from around £5 to £10, mains range from £13.50 up to £32.50 for Scottish fillet steak, and desserts around £6. 12.5% optional service charge is added to the bill. Expect to pay around £35 per person for a couple of courses with wine, though choosing items like steak and a classier bottle of wine will exceed £50 without trying too hard. The wine selection is, as you’d expect, very good: prices(per bottle) range from about £15 to £54, with quite a lot of choice under £25. Champagnes and sparkling wines range from £25.50 to £87.50. Service is usually reasonably efficient and can be very friendly: they make a bit of a fuss of regulars, which you can either views as a good thing, or as a little disconcerting if you’re not one of them.

We came, we drank, we schmoozed. For this, Ebury Wine Bar is ideal. A small(or shall we say intimate) wine bar leading into an upscale restaurant, it would be easy for a venue like this to edge dangerously high on the snooty scale. However on the yardstick of snobbery, it was as low as could be — complete with a cute young Aussie waiter behind the bar happily pouring glasses of reds and whites for the endless business travelers coming through the doors. How un-snootified was it? My full-bodied, spicy red was poured into a white wine glass that would traditionally be used for Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. You be the judge. With a menu that ranges from the traditional Sunday roast to organic and gluten-free options, a staff of friendly young folks who are passionate about their craft, and a pack of regulars keeping the corks popping, it’s no wonder a place like this is celebrating it’s 51st year in business. Here’s to many more!

I was here years ago and bumped into Billie Piper and Chris Evans when they were still married, so this place has been going for a while. But it is still a great place. Good English food with a strong European influence, while not cheap, is still cracking great value. Service is efficient and polite. The place is done up as a rather elegant gastropub and is often frequented by all classes of people, from elderly gentlefolk to convivial socialites, with the split tending towards the older generation. Definitely one of the better eateries in the Victoria area.

I’ve eaten at the Ebury Wine Bar twice while staying next door at the Lime Tree Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. It’s been a while since I went, but I recall having a wonderful rocket salad, a very tasty pork dish with apples, and a fried Snickers bar with ice cream for dessert all at a reasonable price.

Go here a lot with work, and it’s a nice little place with good service and a nice atmosphere. Wine choice is excellent as you’d expect but the thing that makes it for me is the food. It might be quite basic(bangers and mash, risotto etc.) but it’s extremely good. Not your regular wine bar — like it a lot. Best at lunchtime.

We’d been meaning to go to the Ebury Wine Bar for ages so when we were walking by one day last week the time was right! It was a treat. The wine we chose was delicious and quite good value — I can’t remember which one it was but I’d know it if I saw it on the menu again! The service was friendly and the whole place had a cheery feel. The décor is traditional with just a hint of quirkiness. Check out the book titles and authors on the book spines painted on the walls — ‘How to Keep Pet Turkeys, vol. 2′ by Bernard Mathews is just one example that springs to mind! We were there in the early evening and practically had the place to ourselves. But there were just enough others around to give the place its atmosphere. We’ll try some of the food next time. Highly recommended!
