This local pub in Ponders End is as interesting as it is original. There’s usually a friendly crowd inside and it happens to be positioned right next to Robbins Hall(University halls of residence) so a young group can often be found in there. The décor gives you the impression you’re a couple of decades behind but the messy, aged atmosphere has a very homely feel to it. The drink prices are pretty good too with a pint only setting you back 1.99, also the landlord often lets punters use the pool table for free if there’s a large group of you! The welcoming bar staff and the comortable environment definitely make this a decent place to chill out and have a few beers on your way home from a long day.
