Cheap Beers. Relaxed Atmosphere. Awesome Music. My first experience with Flowerpot was on a Sunday night, during a «Sound Bites» promotion, promising«eclectic musical mix and dancing on tables». They didn’t disappoint. We arrived to a free bbq, friendly crowd and cheap drinks. And the music. The first act played in the background while I talked to friends, by the second the whole room was hushed to better listen to the siren-esque voice of the female lead singer and three acts later the entire bar was on their feet(myself included) dancing close to the stage. By the end of the night I was actually feeling guilty about how much I had spent; without forfeiting more than 10 quid I had been fed, serenaded, drank a few beers and danced my heart out. Donation box anyone? I ran home to «like» the Flowerpot on facebook and found out that they also have Monday night quizzes and tons of other entertainment. I’ll be looking to spend more than a few nights a month here! Who should you take here? A group of no-nonsense friends. This is the type of place you just want to chill out and relax with good company!

A top pub run by the toppest of top people who used to run ‘tings’ at nambucca before it sadly burnt out(quite literally) and with very handsome/pretty and charming bar staff. I seem to spend half my life here! in fact work should just pay my wages straight in! Great back yard for the smokers, free summer bbqs, fantastic friendly crowd of people; hot bands: they had not-so-secret Jamie T and Laura Marling gigs which were packed to the rafters but the best and the most intimate i’ve seen them with the whole crowd singing along in unison; and even hotter DJs/nights. Just watch out for the jaegerbombs. not conducive to any kind of productivity the next day.

The Flowerpot is pretty much, a no frills pub/bar, with it’s mismatched second-hand furniture and barren décor. But I do love it. It doesn’t have the pretentious and cliquey atmosphere that so many bars have and the staff are genuinely friendly. The crowd too, are generally a happy and enthusiastic bunch. What’s more, they have live music every night and support new and upcoming bands of all sorts of genres. All in all a fun night out!

the flowerpot really isn’t suitable for everybody. It really is a local bar/pub and i think just for a night out it’s not really what most people look for. It is free entry The look of the pub is really nothing special its ‘borrowed and found ’ furniture and the toilets aren’t always clean… However that’s why i love it. I really enjoy the flowerpot, its real no pretentiousness which is really special around Camden.

I wanted to love this place but, it didn’t happen for me. The décor was uninspiring, barren, and at 17:00pm on a Saturday, devoid of atmosphere. All the seats were around the periphery of the establishment, it felt like a school disco where no one wants to dance. The draw of The Flower Pot is the cheap beer and impressive line-up of live music. There is a decent sized stage that attracts great up-and-coming bands, and I hope the evening crowd is altogether more up for it, adding the very much need atmospheric kick. I assume the lack of furniture on the floor is for party-goers, moshing and revelling to the live acts. I think I may give the Pot another try.
