I was walking home from the Westbourne Park tube station and spotted a storefront I’d never noticed before. What caught my eye? Well, let me tell you… two dresses: one lipstick red the other black, both tea length and A-line. Gaaaah! Drool! Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the proprietor, a fellow American(from Philly), who told me about her collection. And wow, is it a collection – more like a treasure trove – of vintage pieces. Many of her items come from the US, as well as kimono-style frocks from Japan. As you probably already guessed, that means stuff comes with a rather hefty price tag. But the quality really is worth the cost. Everything is dry cleaned and frozen for 72 hours to kill any moth eggs. This attention to detail means the clothes don’t have the off-putting aroma of some other vintage shops. It took a lot of self-control not to drop a few hundred pounds in this shop. I’m thinking a Mad Men party might be in order…
