The biggest waste of money.
Ordered a Caesar Salad with corn fed chicken… The chicken obviously didn’t get enough corn as there was about three tiny pieces of cold dried up chicken on the plate along with three slithers of parmesan cheese. All for the expensive price of £11.45.
With the other meal we ordered coleslaw. It was terrible store bought flavourless rubbish for £2.50.
To add to this the drinks are expensive and they could not even make one of their TVs work to watch the men’s Wimbledon final… When their pub is call ‘The hand and racquet’ and is in Wimbledon!

Standard Green King gastropub style place. Pretty good value and having eaten there twice, food is rather good. Bit quieter then the couple of pubs next door but it depends what you are after. Tend to have Olde Trip and GK IPA on tap with one or two guest beers. Decent pub.

Staff were aggressive and less than passionate about providing a relaxing atmosphere, despite a low level of business when I visited. it’s a pity as the building is lovely and the interior is to my liking of ‘drinkers pub.’ However the staff issue is enough to make a stranger feel unwelcome and remain a stranger as a result.

This pub is on your right hand side as you head up the road to Wimbledon Village. It is comfortable and warm and relaxed and a perfect place for after-​work drinks.
Very traditionally decorated, it takes you in and makes you feel at home without any stuffiness or old fashioned tendencies.
The beers are normal prices and there are a few nice bottles of wines for quite reasonable. The food is good, traditional pub grub that is nicely made and well priced.
If you aren’t scared of raven-​haired bar women, you’ll have no problems. A tip though send the ladies to the bar as the men always seem to be charged more!
