This arcade has been around for over 2 years and has been through many changes e.g. adding home consoles, having tournaments and more niche games and it makes it stronger and more popular considering that arcades have known to be dying out over the past 10 years. Unlike most arcades, Heart of Gaming has a entry fee varying from £5−10(depending on which day it is), but that means the machines are on Free Play which makes it excellent for value. One issue is the location isn’t exactly well known so you will have to use a map to find this place. If you are a retro or modern gamer, this is the place for you.

Let’s start with the good: a whole room full of older arcade machines(pac-man, donkey Kong, street fighter, time crisis, etc), a DDR machine and every console(SNES, Dreamcast, GameCube, PlayStation 2+3) and a wide range of games. Bring your own booze and cheap entry(all the games are freeplay). If you’re a nerd into retro games then good times will be had! The bad: It’s in the middle of nowhere, in a shed, and it’s run as a hobby not a business, so don’t expect it to be organised or always open at the published times!
