The Hill Cafe

Stopped here for a quick break. Got a latte and an apple turnover. The waitress suggested the pastry once I told her I was looking for something sugary.
The service was good. I sat outside on the patio to enjoy the weather. The place has free wifi and advertises that most of their items are organic. My latte and turnover came fairly quickly. The turnover was cold which I think is suppose to be served that way. The outside of the turnover seemed to be a bit hard to chew. I probably would order something different next time. Latte was good, they do some latte art with a heart on it.
The total was around £5. This place does not automatically charge you for service charge so I left a dollar for tip, but probably not required.

I ordered a piece of pecan pie to take away (the other offerings in the glass counter didn’t look very fresh or appetising). Weirdly, when I got home, I realised that this ‘pecan pie’ was in fact made with walnuts. I found that pretty strange — was it a mistake, or perhaps walnuts are cheaper and you thought nobody would notice?! It was a fine piece of walnut pie, but still…

Very nice people, very nice drinks, very nice price…
Sometimes crowdy if you happen to go there around 3:00 — 3:30 pm (Kids and parents of the school around are all rushing in the café)
