Im not sure but I think the place is under a new management now and they have done some redecoration etc. I was there only onceso far and I am planning to go there again. I went there in July 2011 on sunday to try their Sunday Buffet(£8.95) and was very pelasantly suprised– unfortunately I was rather unlucky in the past with indian restuarant, however they had really nice curry– tasty but not spicy! Really liked it. Everything was fresh. Im not sure if the price is right– 8.95 for this part of London I think personally is a bit too much for a buffet and maybe that is way I have not seen many customers coming. Lovely restaurant– worth visiting! overall: Food– GREAT! Interioir– Very nice STaf Friendly Price– well, i think the managemetn should put the price of £7.95 max.

Just down the street from my favourite, the Hemalaya, the Indian Gate has one unique quality that sets it apart from other Indian restauarants in the area Large and pleasantly decorated inside, what really stands out about the place is the vast array of unusual dishes on the menu — lots of which I’ve never seen in an Indian restaurant before, so perhaps the India Gate would be a good choice for an adventurous night out where you want to try out something new. Portion sizes aren’t what they might be however, with the last chicken dish I sampled having more sauce and less meat than I’m used to but thats not true of all the dishes. Stratford’s second best Indian in my view ;)

This is just beside Wetherspoons and I had walked past it many a time before actually trying it. Since then, it’s become a regular as the menu is expansive, the food well cooked and the staff are friendly and efficient. Pretty reasonable — and they have Kingfisher on tap.
