This pub is situated between Green Park and Piccadilly Circus, it is up a random street and just looks like a normal pub on the outside. I suppose because of the area, it is a little special, they have old style décor, with big leather chairs and just an old feel to it. If you go upstairs, you’ll enjoy more of this, it might feel you are missing your cigars and smoking jacket… I might be misremembering but I’m sure they had a piano too. The food was pretty good to and reasonably priced, the dessert were especially amazing

A great little pub, tucked away in the alleyways and an easy walk to either Green Park or Piccadilly Circus. The food hit the spot but didn’t wow me, and the atmosphere was somewhat flat for a Saturday night. I had the burger and fries, a small portion on both fronts for the amount I paid. The range of beers on tap and off was great, though the staff weren’t warm enough for me to attempt a conversation on what was good. Perfect for a catch up with an old friend, but if you’re after a place with energy then keep walking. Would I go back? Yes, if I were in the area and in want of a familiar pub.

We needed some place close by and at least four stars on Unilocal. This fit the bill. We stopped in late, 9:00, for dinner and drinks. The fish and chips was pretty good. I am spoiled and no longer eat missy peas if they are not mint flavored. A few local(UK) beers on tap. The Wilderness by Lochness Brewery was really nice. The pub is run by Nicholson’s which seems to run every other pub I have been to in London. Not too crowded on a Saturday night.

Walked by here after touring most of he historic London castles and landmarks. Ordered two beers which were pretty strong as well as he dish and chips which were excellent. Would recommend this place to fellow American tourists! Really good service.

Good selection of beers and ciders, and always a table available for our group on the comfy sofas downstairs. However, the staff rarely seems to know what’s going on. Two weeks ago they had no idea what cheesy chips were; this week they delight us with cheesy chips. Whatever.

Excellent British pub with good food and nice variety on the menu. Ordered the Cottage Pie which was a perfect lunch item. If your looking for a traditional British pub, highly recommend The Kings Head.

Perhaps the whole area is this overpriced but 15 pounds for a pint and fish and chips? No complaints otherwise.

A really nice pub, friendly staff, playing decent music and the windows open right back on a nice warm summers day. They have a few different beers on tap too, the Suffolk Blonde is a very nice English larger that slipped down nicely. Great to do a bit of people watching in the heart of Mayfair when the widows are opened. Not so busy on my visit on a quiet bank holiday Monday but I can imagine it gets rammed in there.

I love the Kings Head! My husband works around the corner and this is where I choose to wait for him. The real ales selection is good, the windows open wide so you can have the benefits of being outside with the comforts of being inside, and there is a secret man cave downstairs. Sure, it costs +£4 for a pint but I only need one and if I need to while away the time in Mayfair this is where I choose to do it.

My wife and I came here for dinner on 4÷11÷12. She got the tomato soup and salad, which was served with bread. I got the shepherd’s pie. I also got a pale lager on tap. The bartender took our orders, brought the lager and my wife’s drink to the table. It was the first time for us in a British pub. Well, any pub. We do not go to bars in the US. The patrons here were young, white collar folk filling up before going home. It was quite a cheerful atmosphere and we were enjoying the typical old world pub ambiance. Our food came and everything was piping hot. The freshly made salad was crisp with all those colorful ingredients. We ate our meals and watched a few people at the bar across from us. The silent big screen TV had some sport on. Did not pay much attention to that. However, I was fascinated by the number of beers on tap and the vast array of bottles behind the bar. Once done, I eased my way into my wheelchair and my wife and I rolled out into the brisk London evening. A nice walk along the well appointed streets of Piccadily and Mayfair and we were back in the warm lobby of our hotel. A cheerful hello from a couple of the staff and we went up to our room. A pleasant end to our first day in London.

Had some good times in here. People that serve there are quite nice as well. Good prices. I will certainly go back again and will Recommend it to everyone in the area.:)

It does get massively busy but unlike most of the popular pubs round these parts they have a lot of space at the various bars and enough people to serve at them. Nice selection of ale

I ate here last summer but only now remembered exactly where this pub was. I’m mainly reviewing this place so I remember it for the next time I am lucky enough to get to London. My husband and I were first-time tourists in London and stumbled across this place when we were walking back to our hotel from the visitors’ center to get our London Pass. This was our first meal after a VERY long and frustrating day of traveling. We got the meat pie sampler, which was very good. The beers weren’t so great. It seemed impossible to get a cold drink, but from my understanding that’s just a typical American complaint of London. The service was fine.

I was suprised the first time i came across this pub off Old Bond Street. It’s quite a traditional well kept pub that is hidden just out of sight from the Armani and D & G shoppers and i didn’t expect to find a pub like this in this area. On a Friday night is packed out with suits revving up for the weekend. During the week and daytime it’s much quieter and I prefer it when it’s a bit more peaceful as it provides a good place to relax and chat. They have a cosy downstairs bar and upstairs is a dining room but they do serve food in the main bar as well. They serve great fruit lagers and the seating is plentiful and comfy with sofas and high tables. It’s a good pub to go to if you’re in the area but i wouldn’t make the effort to go here otherwise.

A crowded, busy downtown pub. Go on a Friday night after work, like I did, and the place will be a seething mass of suits numbing themselves from having sold their souls to The Man all week. Seriously, I’d have sworn I was in the City. I like the layout, though: normal room with tables on the ground floor, a snug array of sofas and low tables downstairs, and a dining room upstairs. I was wedged downstairs, which luckily has its own bar. The whole feel of the place is a bit more genuine than many other pubs, if that makes sense. Stop by anytime other than a busy Friday night, though, and you’ll probably find it a much more enjoyable pub.

Awesome pub — one of the best I have been to in London. The ground floor is so cozy — perfect for any day, but especially a cold, rainy day. There is a cool champagne bar downstairs, and an airy dining room on the first floor(you can also get food on the ground floor bar) The pies are AMAZING! Try the steak & onion pie… divine. I cannot wait to go back. Nice seasonal ales as well.
