What an awesome restaurant! We are visiting our family in London and checked out Unilocal for a breakfast spot. Man are we glad to have found this one! It is quaint and airy, modern and hip interior and the friendliest staff in this entire country! The food was delicious! Eggs,(American) bacon and avocado slices along with the yummiest sourdough bread and about the most perfect jam in the world made for the perfect meal! **TIP** They only take cash! As Americans we traveled with our credit card expecting the country to be equipped for cards. It is… except this place got rid of their card machine and only takes cash! Their menu said it took card so imagine our surprise when they told us after we ate… ahhhh! But this is how amazing they are… they allowed us to leave, acquire cash, and return! OMG! I will NOT lower their stars for only taking cash as that was OUR mistake, not theirs! I recommend this place 10000000 times and then 1000000000 times more! Just a wonderful, local, neighborhood joint that we wish we could return to a few more times! Thank you«The Kitchen Table» for a fabulous breakfast!

Bestes Biofrühstück in Gemeinschaftsküchen-Atmosphäre!

Honest good food in a honest setting. The staff is very friendly and when it is sunny they have the best tables in the sun!

Best breakfast in north west London. Always busy and hard to get a table sometimes. It’s expensive too but oh so worth it.

The Kitchen Table is a very friendly café that offers excellent home-made food that is always freshly prepared and delicious. It is perfect for the whole family, whether it is for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I warmly recommend their scrambled eggs — you will be impressed!

Not only are the staff rude and the food extremely pricey for what you get. My wife and I got food poisoning after eating here a few days ago! Horrendously sick for 16 hours. Never going there again!

The kitchen table is a very nice café. Basically everything in there is homemade, organic/free range, etc. But on top of the ethically postive attitude it is very very tasteful. This is one of the places that I mustn’t miss as it is such a gem in West Hampstead. I come here as often as possible and love their breakfast as well as their lunches. Unfortunately they don’t open late, which means that this is not a choice for dinner. So if you are in the area go there and enjoy the reaxed and nice atmosphere combined with lovely food.

Oh gooood lord, Unilocalers, thank you for leading me to this place! Easily the best breakfast in all of London! Not a pancake/crêpe type of place but eggs and sandos that are so delish. And two very important words when it comes to brekkie: American. Bacon. *drops mic* YESSS, nothing can top American bacon(said the American!). They have good coffee and good, attentive service too. Chocolate croissant was OK but really the show stopper are the eggs, on delicious sourdough. Being originally from San Francisco, I do miss me some amazing sourdough. Ooooh, ooooh, and they have as a side some yummy avocado slices with a dash of sea salt on them! Oh ma guuudness, I am salivating as i type! Bummer they are closed on Sundays otherwise we would have made a repeat visit but I’ll give them a pass for resting on the Lord’s day(I guess!). Yummy wine shop on one side, good barbershop on the other(hubby got a haircut after brekkie, I bought some amazing sparkling wine).

This place would have been great: — if the young lady who attended our table had known what was in the food without having, at a busy time, to go back to the kitchen and ask repeatedly; if she had been polite and friendly instead of sullen and ungracious and, when I asked for Diet Coke, my request hadn’t been met dismissively. No, we don’t do it.(Not, No, sorry, we don’t do it, but we’ve got X, or Y if you’d like). if the non-dairy, non-meat option had been something that wasn’t simply less its main ingredient a soup with the pesto sauce taken out isn’t really a vegetarian option when it’s the only option. Because it would have been great if the vegetable thai curry had been vegetarian fish sauce meant it wasnt. and it would have been great if the loo had been working, but«Uh, you know, it’s not working the moment’. So, you’ll have got the message. It wasn’t that great. From the reviews above, it looks as it can be, sometimes, if you order the right food at the right time, and you arrive on the right day, when the staff are in the right mood. But just not all the time. As we left, I commented to my friend that The Kitchen Table somehow failed to meet the M&S benchmark; that is, was the £4.50 I paid for my soup more than the £1.50 M&S charges for a similar product, with the difference in price being the experience, atmosphere, and service? I felt weirdly short-changed. But I had M&S soup for dinner, and felt much better.

A real insider tip for West Hampstead! The Kitchen Table is a small but very cozy place, and so popular that at times it is hard to get a table. I love their English breakfast, you get proper toasted bread with it, not the fluffy supermarket stuff. BTW, last time I checked they were closed on Sundays. Bummer ;-)!

Stumbled across this lovely café by chance and now wish I lived closer to West Hampstead! We were lucky to be seated at the last available table. This place was so popular, people even sat outside on a January afternoon — admittedly it wasn’t raining, but cold and windy. I like the feel of this street, and the Kitchen Table is tucked between a health food shop and a dusty antique shop. Reminded me of what most of London’s high streets looked like before gentrification brought Starbucks and inflated prices. We had the most delicious scrambled eggs with field mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. The enormous portions and a pot of tea each(haven’t seen caramel tea on a menu since I left Germany in the mid-80’s) set us back less than a tenner each. Money well spent. Will definitely try and come back.
