As others have mentioned, a real pub. The Landor is by far my favourite pub for a few laid back beers, they also show most major sports! If you stop by be sure to check out the Chicken Wings **salivating**.

Ive recently been exploring the world of South London, so I went to this pub after a recommendation. The structure of the room is a bit strange so it feels like it has many different rooms but when you think about it it’s just one with lots of twists and turns. There is a lot of space and a pool table at the back, as well as couches and screens to watch the football. For me the general feel was more of an old man pub but because of the area it attracts all ages. Once I checked in I found there was a 10% off deal which I told the staff about as they had no idea. After a little effort to explain what the deal meant they simply took my word for it and assumed that a manager must have made the agreement. The beer was ok and there was a decent selection, however they did forget that my friend had ordered chips so half an hour later we went and asked. They apologised and 10 minutes later there were chips! Personally I wouldn’t go back to this place, and I don’t think that it’s a place you have to go out of your way to go to, however as it’s very close to my friend’s house I might have to go back simply because it’s convenient.

This is a real pub located in a mostly residential area. It is relaxed, serves good food and pulls good real ales brought in from quality brewers outside London. It is equipped with a pool table, comfortable seating, and an outdoor area. It is also has a theatre upstairs. Years ago, when I lived in the area, the pub was my favourite local. I returned very recently to find that they still make great steak and chips. The steak is very good. The chips are close to the best ever… especially if you like the ones that are a bit bashed or slapped around(and possibly yelled at) before frying to endow them with extra crispy bits. Good to see things are still in order.

So the other half and I came here for dinner before seeing a play in the theatre upstairs. The show started at 7:30, we arrive at 6:30. Seems like it should be a reasonable time to get food. Also the place doesn’t seem that busy. We order. Now, the menu did warn us that the baked Camembert would take 15 minutes. So we were prepared. But we figured we’d still be okay. We figured incorrectly. After about 35 minutes of waiting for our starter after we ordered, we asked someone about our food. The response was, «There’s a backlog in the kitchen».(Whatever that means.) Now by this time we’ve seen about 6 plates of food come out. That’s it. It seems that the kitchen can’t handle a lot of orders at once. We finally managed to get them to bring food, and of course it came all together. Which we were actually happy about at this point because we had about 15 minutes before the show was supposed to start. We had to eat quickly. However, the food was really great for a pub. I had the lamb burger with chili sauce and Halloumi cheese, and it was hot and tasty, and not overcooked and tough like many lamb burgers can be. The chips were well done and tasty, although a tad on the cold side(which was strange given the burger was blazing hot). If I was coming to see another show, I’d definitely eat here again, although I might try to get there earlier given the slow kitchen. The only reason this place doesn’t get four stars is because of the time. A kitchen should be able to coordinate and organize to be able to handle orders. However, if I were in the area and wanted a good pub dinner, and wasn’t concerned about the time, I’d be back here as the food was really, really tasty.

Always bustling, big screen for games, good selection of drinks, decent prices, awesome back garden, and usually friendly staff. Pool table and board games if you’re feeling playful too! 2 for 1 burger night is a great deal for tasty burgers and I hear the rest of their food is quite good. Especially the Sunday roast!

Am really feeling this place. Love the décor and layout. I went there for the first time before Christmas and it really got me into the festive spirit. It’s just off the main high street, so doesn’t get overly busy at peak time(apart from when the footie or rugby is on). Lots going on there too. Singer on Friday nights are always good. Food is not bad either. Worth giving it a go — selection of beer and wine is good.

I love the Landor. It is a friendly local pub with really nice landlords and staff. They’ve just gone through a refurb and they’re now offering sofas, a weekly comedy night and pub quiz, and there is still a great(partially covered) outside space. The bar snacks are great(go for chips, spicy chips, chicken strips or cod goujons — the chicken wings and homemade pork crackling are not so good) and the burgers are divine. They also do homemade sorbet and icecream. There is a great selection of drinks and reasonable prices and they’ve just started doing cocktails and champagne cocktails. It still has that local vibe though. NB — sometimes to be avoided on football nights(if that’s not your thing).

We used to live around the corner from the Landor and called it our local. The lazyman’s night out — you can come here for a couple of beers or stay the whole night! It’s inviting, large and has a good selection on tap. They’ve got pool tables too. In the summer the huge garden is a treat and it practically doubles the capacity of this place. Best thing about the Landor? It’s monthly pub quiz. It’s a tough one — the questions don’t get any easier and nor do the rivalries between the regular teams. We once knocked ‘Quizteam Aguilea’ down into 3rd and were bought a round of drinks by their closest rivals who had won it! All in good banter though. I’ve never been to the theatre, but I know many who have and rave about it.

This is one of the better known theatre bars in London and deservedly so. The bar itself is large and is not restrictive to a theatre loving audience as it attracts many old locals. Their drinks prices are good and their bar snacks and food are of good price and quality that, should you find yourself here, you won’t be disappointed whilst not being particularly amazed. As for the theatre space, it is a great little space. It is popular with many of the drama schools graduate year shows as well as other notable new companies and writing. It can seat a good number of people and actually is a reputable name for new musicals etc so can get get good turn out and reactions from agents and producers.

A fantastic pub between Clapham and Brixton, this is not only a great watering hole but a theatre as well. I’ve visited here on many a hungover Sunday to feast on their huge, delicious roasts. There’s a vast beer garden, so it’s especially lovely here in the summer months, although outside is heated so if you can brave a nip in the air, it’s always lovely to be outdoors with your pint. The theatre upstairs is fantastic, with a varied and high quality programme of plays throughout the year. Ticket prices range from £5-£12, the theatre is cosy, and i love the setting of a pub being a platform for the arts.
