Pizza pub! And not just any type of pizza: really delicious wood oven pizzas with thin base and so much flavour. Very authentic Italian. Toppings such as smoked pancetta, mushroom and chilli, or olives, goats cheese, chilli and red onion, or spicy sausage and aubergine with basil. So fresh. So good. For those not into pizza… They have salads, share plates and booze. On the booze site of things, one can enjoy some craft beers(eg four pure), some big guys(Camden), some ‘can’t really go wrong’ Italian wines(if in doubt go the montipulciano) and a generous range of spirits to choose from. There are lots of tables that suit bigger groups and they take bookings. Bookings recommended on Saturday and Friday evenings if you have lots of friends. Nice and cosy. The have a disco ball. They do a Wednesday quiz(book). There is also karaōke I’m told but yet to participate…

Place is going downhill a tad. Food is still good but some nights they can burn the pizza. The clientele is a bit more dodgy at some times, and seriously clean and fix the toilets! I’m tired of smelling piss when I eat. Still recommended, but they easily could clean things up a bit.

Great beers, great pizza! It’s the liveliest pub in the area and is always good fun! It’s pricey and not the most attractive place but its location is great and it’s a good place for big groups of friends if you get in there early enough.

I visited at noon and the place was packed with families with young kids. In fact, my wife & I were the only table without a child, so was very noisy with screaming/crying kids, To the point where you couldn’t hear the music or yourself think. So based on atmosphere, I would give it a one star, it should be a pub and not a crèche. The pizzas we had were lovely, nice dough, full of flavour, fresh ingredient and a good price. Good beer selection as well. I would like to revisit this place at night when kids are not allowed as I feel this place would be a lot different.

Pizza? Yes fine. Nicely done. It’s still a pub however. The wine on offer is poor and at 6.75 a glass a complete rip off!

Came down here after recommendations and it was worth it! Great space, friendly staff, good selection of beers and yummy pizza! We just got the cheese pizza and smoked sausage which were both delicious. Definitely a new local!

The Lauriston is run by the same people as The Hanbury and The Regent in Islington, and does the same awesome pizzas, which are large with thin bases, and a decent selection of toppings. The place friendly and clean, and has a good atmosphere. It has a free jukebox with a good selection of music. The beer selection is okay, but on my last visit yesterday, they didn’t have any pale ales on keg, which was a bit disappointing(I’m sure they had London Fields last time). Hopefully they will rotate the beers again soon and fix this.

Obviously a nice little pub but we were slightly turned off by the enforcement of the no-child policy when we visited with our three year old looking for a beer and a pizza. It was still very early and there was not a soul around. Also our son was very well behaved, so it could have been overlooked for the sake of harmony. Needless to say, feeling quite unwelcome, we upped a left after one drink.

Welcome to local London. The Lauriston is a new age local boozer. They serve up yummy pizza and host am array of entertainment that’s worthy of a cruise ship. Think karaōke with sequins, bingo with top hats and comedy with funny injected under it’s skin. Looking for a good night out then this could be it. At the edge of Viccy Park it get a mixture of hip east London kids and regular gents. This little area of east is an upper class nugget. You won’t find them rioting here, you will however be offended but the hair cuts and super tight jeans.

Love love love the pizza they have here also the big wooden table and photographs of the locals are a real treat! However it can be full of children diving about and crawling under your table at times which can ruin the atmosphere! Bar staff can be slow but if its a nice alternative if you fancy something other than a roast on a Sunday!

Situated in the centre of Victoria Park village, The Lauriston is the cream of the crop amongst a number of high quality boozers in the close vicinity. The wide variety of quality stone baked pizzas top off this already sterling pub, with its comfy sofas, nice large chunky wooden tables, and generally good vibes. Perfect for a cheeky week-night, not too trendy but not too straight either. Weekends will sometimes see DJs to add to the entertainment. Highly recommended

This is probably the best pizza of east London! Gorgonzola pizza recommended! On top of a very laid-back atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and they have a free jukebox! Afterwards i recommend a nice stroll in Victoria park! Definately worth it…

The Lauriston is great! Totally delicious oven baked pizzas … booooooze, always full to the brim with a bubbly sexy crowd and quizz night !!! very colourful! Loved it!
Great stone baked Pizza’s in a pub in a lovely location next to Victoria Park and friend bar staff. Lots of cool folk hang out here and enjoy the hand made stone oven baked pizza with loads of fresh toppings like rocket and smoked ham’s etc. Sometimes they run out of dough though which is strange. Highly recommnded going to this place and I miss it.

Pub with a cool vibe… it actually reminds me of so many of the slightly edgy and chill places in Shoreditch. I was lured in not only by the look of the place, but also the look of the crowd sitting outside — plenty of those obviously professional, but hip looking sorts. The friend who was with me, who works in fashion, actually said she recognized several people there — faces that she attached to various fashion labels — so that gives you a sense of who comes here(and lives in the area!) Pizzas are definitely the main event here… everybody around us seemed to be eagerly ordering one, and even though there are a handful of other salads and such on the menu, we followed the crowd by splitting a margarita pizza — which was very nice but probably the most mundanely topped crust on offer… the most off-the-wall creation would have to be their English Breakfast pizza(the description of which, I have to say, put us off a little.) This is definitely one of the less obvious(since it’s a further walk) but better places to come if you find yourself in Victoria Park on a weekend afternoon and fancy a bite.

During the day The Lauriston is a cool place to hang out as the have wifi so you can surf the net while you sip a coffee. They serve pizzas which smell wonderful and I have yet to try. The bar staff are really friendly and the bar itself is quite spacious with big wooden tables. Once I locked my bike outside on a Sunday afternoon and someone robbed my lights but I really shouldn’t have left them on my bike in the first place so there you go.

I remember this place principally or a rather funny incident involving a 4 by 4, some eggs and a good aim but in all fairness the Lauriston has a lot more going for it. Located just to the north of Victoria Park it’s an excellent stop-in for a sunny day or a good evenings entertainment with the option of a free jukebox during the week and a pretty decent DJ at the weekend. The interior is quirky and trendy attracting a range of people from students to trendy twenty-somethings and some businessmen and women. Food-wise it has a fine selection of pizza that can be cooked in a proper stone pizza oven for that delicious burnt crispyness. One of the best pizzas I’ve eaten outside of Italy. Good selection of drinks, though they can be a little pricy.

The Lauriston is the perfect place to chill on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Wood fired pizza’s, green Olives stuffed with Feta and a decent selection of beer. The pizza’s have got to be some of the best I’ve tasted and at not a bad price — around £8 for a 12 inch and 2−4−1 all day Tuesday. Generally a relaxed atmosphere, and populated by a cool crowd, but its certainly not as pretentious as some in the area. The Lauriston attracts a more diverse mix of locals, city suits, and students. It gets pretty packed at the weekend, so I’d definitely recommend getting there early to secure a table.
