Yep, this place is an asset to the area. It’s more of a standard café than a Thai restaurant, as is listed here. Don’t think it’s even open for dinner. Nice staff and good food(cakes, snacks, English breakfast favourites and full blown Thai meals too). The owner seems to know all the local OAPs by name, bless them. If you asked me for one bit of constructive criticism — I had the Eggs Benedict the other day, and the eggs and hollandaise were great but the quality of the ham wasn’t up to much — a bit processed. The missus’ Eggs Royale(salmon instead) was a better bet and the same price. Oh yes, and free WiFi would be a welcome addition!

I’ve been a fan of The Lemon Grove since it opened. It has been a great addition to Forest Hill, with a very friendly welcome, fresh juices, a variety of interesting choices on the menu and not just the usual suspects and a very good coffee. I highly recommend that you give it a try if you are in Forest Hill
