I’m not a huge fan of North Face, purely for aesthetic reasons, I find in comparison to other Out Door clothes, their range is quite plain and dull. However I was happy to find that they had some Bright Green boarding trousers, which seem to brighten the shop up a bit! I went in the winter, and Upstairs was mainly snowboarding/skiing gear and downstairs, they had a good range of camping gear. The prices, were about average for such products.

As much as i adore The North face products and clothing — i do feel it is slightly overpriced in store. As many or nearly all of their products can be purchased online for at least 75% of the price. However, with North Face products and clothing you are almost guaranteed quality that will last years. I would recommend North face gear to everyone, however i would suggest you search online for the item you are after before heading direct to a North face Store. saying that, i have just purchased some bright blue north face salopettes for this years winter season — and boy do they look good! Recommended!

Though it only sells its own brand products, North Face stocks a good selection of kit for all sorts of outdoor sports. The staff are friendly and helpful, and do not follow you around the store, which I like. The best thing about outdoor shops, is imagining what kind of adventures it would be possible to get up to whilst using their kit. This store somehow conveys the purpose of its equipment in a small space, quite proficiently.

This shop, opened in 2003, was the first dedicated The North Face shop in Europe. They carry their entire line of clothing, accessories, and ski gear. The strap on my boot bag broke and I was able to get a nice new one here. It’s an attractive two-level building, too, with lots of wood and plenty of glass surfaces permitting lots of light even downstairs.
