I’m not a fun of the pubs cuisine but this is a good one. Modern design, nice and cosy, bit slowly the service but the food is good. I would recommend the burgers. A must visit at least once

Food ok, terrible service, especially if a big group. We were 8, it took them an hour to bring the starters, and another hour before the mains showed up.

I think this must be one of Thomas Cubitt’s houses in Belgravia. It has been beautifully restored, as have this companies other restaurants, and has an upscale clientele to match it’s upscale food and wine. The menu is seasonal and creative. I don’t care what you order it will be of the highest quality and the presentation will be proper. The staff is well trained and ever so charming. This establishment is properly called The Orange Public House and Hotel. Alas they have only four rooms, but they are delightful in every way with four star amenities. If you are doing business in the area or just doing an architectural romp this is a place to consider. I have made this my locus for London when I yearn for a bit of Cubitt and the beautiful buildings he created. I headed for their ground floor bar which is informal and allows chairs and tables on Pimlico and then moved up to the second floor dining room with a more formal feel and a different menu; not pubgrub! Their roasted pigeon breast with cherry and dark chocolate jus, Jersey Royal Potatos with mint butter and a so delicate almond and orange cake spotted with pomegranate jam and clotted cream. My companion had pea soup, speck, orange and chervil mascarpone, Yellowfin tuna, samphire, smoked yoghurt and tomato and fennel ragout. That was followed by lemon posset with passion fruit jelly and mint meringues, all beautifully prepared and served. This is not at all complicated food preparation and it’s high time South Florida took a look at this pub’s menu and stopped with the over fried, greasy, frozen talapia, chix wings, and burgers for $ 15. When will they ever learn?

Pitcher of pims! Similar to a fabulous sangria in the states. Great, friendly, speedy bar service. We will be back when we cross the pond again.

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and great pizza! Thursday happy hour was very buzzy. I think the Orange is a favorite of many. Hard to choose but as a «Yank» this is probably the favorite of all the pubs in the UK I’ve visited.

Coming here on a recommendation of my mum’s(which sometimes I treat with a certain amount of trepidation), I was very pleasantly rewarded with my first ever visit. The décor and ambience here is definitely of the Gastro Pub ilk, but without a doubt The Orange does it with a superior style and panache. The atmosphere is light and airy, and this adds to a great vibe to take in while you munch. Some of the menu items change from time to time, so I will not list the individual dishes, but suffice to say they were all impressive and came with truly scrumptious sides. I am not normally a dessert type person, but I even succumbed to the amazing ice cream here. Everybody else ordered it and I said no. I was offered a taste. And I called the waiter back over immediately! Amazing! All in all an extremely solid performer in all areas. Well done to The Orange.

I went there on a first date and had a few pleasant drinks before sitting down outside for some yummy pizza. However i soon got my handbag stolen which put a dampener on the night. What made it totally bearable however was how friendly the staff were about it. They immediately waved the bill and helped provide all the information to the police etc. Their reaction was so friendly it made me love the place. The entire place is very relaxing and nice. The indoor eating areas are so beautifully laid out, I loved it! Definitely go for it!

The Orange is decorated impeccably – it is warm and inviting, with wooden tables and chairs and a comfortable upstairs dining area in addition to its main downstairs. The lighting is only just dim enough to cast a soft and romantic glow on the furniture and the restaurant’s patrons. The menu ranges from £9 small pizzas to meat mains in the £15−20 range, with several sides costing £4. The cocktail menu is extensive, but no more pricey than your average cocktail – the cheapest being around £7 and the more expensive hovering around £13. I had a sip of a basil and passionfruit concoction – pleasantly frosty, decisively well-made and finished adorably with half a passionfruit. The first thing that struck me was that the servers are aggressively and eagerly polite and helpful – I filled my glass with the bottle of still water sitting on the table and a male waiter walking by insisted on ‘helping,’ and finished filling my already half-full glass. I was appreciative, but I wasn’t sure it was necessary. I ordered a small pizza with broccoli, red pesto, goat’s cheese(available on gluten OR spelt crust!) with a side of sweet potato fries with a soft cheese – the pizza was thin and crispy and served with a bottle of chili oil. The fries were a bit on the soggy side, but nevertheless tasty and the cheese it was served with more than made up for the sogginess. Service was speedy, but on two occasions, our plates were whisked away while food was still on it – we had to ask them to leave them, as we were not finished eating. The only other aspect about dining here that I give warning about is that the water is not free – we were asked if we’d like another bottle, which we gratefully answered that we would – only to discover at the end of the meal that each bottle of still water was £2! For three mains, three sides, and two cocktails(oh and the £4 spent on still water) the bill came around to £70 for the three of us. I definitely would return and definitely recommend the food.

I live locally and eat and drink here very often. Most people around here have buckets of money. We don’t but the staff treat us the same. The cocktails are good. Very good. They serve a bunch of wines by the glass. Their food is absolutely beautiful. The express lunch is a winner. I’ve tried roast dinners, salads, the wood fired pizzas and dozens of other dishes. Portions are generous desserts a highlight and coffee excellent. I had a particularly stand out Ham hock terrine the other day. The soft cheese they serve with the sweet potato fries is addictive. They are dog friendly even in the dining room and will bring over a bowl of water for your pooch when you sit down. I’ve never had off service here and the staff are truly always outstanding. Outside space is always a bonus. Downstairs can be pretty loud in the dining room but don’t be fooled by the crowds as there is another beautiful slightly quieter space upstairs. Just ask

Très beau pub anglais, sympa pour boire un verre ou dîner. L’endroit est clair et élégant. Le pub propose des plats anglais classiques modernisés. Les plats sont bons et les produits bien cuisinés.

Had brunch upstairs on a weekend. Beware — the breakfast menu on Saturday switches over to a lunch menu in the early afternoon. In other words, I didn’t get eggs for brunch. The food was very good nonetheless and the space is bright and airy and quite quaint and pretty, like a few other London gastropub venues. Nothing really stood out for me though.

Great pub in chelsea. Has delicious food all day long and just a pleasant atmosphere. Decoration is very tasteful and well done. I generally get a pizza and have always been happy with them. Went in once for breakfast but find it slightly pricey for what they offer. Gets packed quite quickly so be sure to reserve if you do wish to dine in.

We went to The Orange last Sunday with a friend visiting from overseas for a traditional English roast. We sat upstairs in the restaurant area — great atmosphere, service was not rushed and excellent food. I love the review earlier that describes the place as casually posh — totally on the money. The downstairs bar was full when we were leaving and looked like the might start filming Made in Chelsea at any moment! Will definitely be back

The Orange is one of my favourite places for roast in West London. It’s an atmospheric bistro pub with great British fare. The 2 story restaurant is covered in clean light coloured wood. Their pizza bread with chilies and olive oil is a highlight of my Sundays. I’ve had the beef rib and pork for roast both of which are recommended. There are also a wide selection of tasty looking pizzas, but being lactose intolerant I always stick to the roasts. The tend to run out of some of the roasts, so worth trying to snag a table on the earlier side(ie before 3pm) otherwise you might be stuck with chicken which would be a downer if beef is on your mind. The service is always slow, exceptionally slow sometimes. Just accept that, order more than a few Sunday funday beverages and you’ll enjoy your meal.

We came here for a quick bite to eat as we were visiting the dessert bar, nearby, at 8pm. I was pleased with how accommodating the staff were. The lady at the front of house had good suggestions for what we could order and still have time to eat before our other appointment. We shared a large margherita pizza with a side of cod croquettes and a couple of drinks. The food was tasty and we were pleased with the friendly service. We are intending to visit another time to try their Sunday roast.

We came here on a works night out during the summer and it was overall a pretty pleasant evening. They have a gorgeous(but small) upstairs outdoor roof terrace which is lovely and intimate — a nice place to spend having a glass of wine with friends. The décor inside is very refined and clean, not really my taste, but nice nonetheless. There is a lot of space in this pub — the upstairs dining area, downstairs dining area, and then the regular bar area. We were dining and reserved ahead of time being a fairly large group so we were seated upstairs. The food was good, not outstanding, but definitely okay. I was really glad I wasn’t paying as I wasn’t blown away and it is on the expensive side. Service was attentive and friendly. We hung around after dinner drinking wine on the pavement outside the pub. It’s the London way — despite living here for quite some time now, I still don’t get it? Maybe I’m lazy, but I’d prefer a seat to sit on to relax and enjoy my wine, rather than standing awkwardly outside with all the smokers sharing their poison with me(I’m an ex smoker myself, I’m not judging!)

The Orange is a causally posh [I just coined that term, feel free to pay me royalties] establishment. Everyone pops in to this gastro pub for drinks and food, but I couldn’t help be feeling like I didn’t have enough money in my bank account to be there. Highlights: — Cool décor. Everything is — shockingly — orange themed. — The staff was friendly, even though they were very busy. — Food was decent! — The kitchen is open late! Lowlights: — On a Saturday night, we got there at 8pm and did not get seated until 10:30pm. — The pizza I got was quite burnt. Overall: I think this would be a great place to go with a smaller group. At 10 people, there were a bit too many of us to get seated quickly.

I went here for a Ptivate function and had a great time. The pub is old and new décor downstairs. A full bar, excellent staff, delicious canapes, food was very fresh and modern. When you walk in there is a bar on the left, a restaurant on the right and the private area downstairs. It was a free bar this night so I cant mention prices but considering the area and the service, Its a classy joint and you get what you pay for. I had my jacket taken and hung up for me when I walked in by the gorgeous waiter. lots of standing area and lounges and chairs. Low lighting, very ambient .One of the better function rooms Ive been to. They even have a hotel upstairs. Im keen to try the restaurant here because the food that we did have was so nice.
