The Park Club

I have been going there with the kids I look after… The place is dirty (esp pools) and smelly of sweaty feet (soft playing area)
I have never seen anyone cleaning the pools’ floor not mentioning the shower rooms. The floor is always dirty — full of hair etc and the changing rooms with hundreds of dirty towels on the floor.
For the price It is really not worth it… Membership not cheap plus you have to pay for additional classes –regular prices like anywhere else. At least since you are paying strong money for being a member extra classes could be at a discounted rate…
Anyway like someone mentioned — the place is for STAY-​AT-​HOME-​MOMS considering all the good fitness classes are in the mornings and early afternoons when most of us are at work.
Plus the SAHMs seem to be delighted with the place…
The place needs full refurb in my opinion… Then maybe I would consider joining myself…

Very good sports club/​gym. Great for young families who enjoy sports. Pools are great and rarely crowded. There is one outside as well. All with warm water. They organise a great event with fireworks in the fall.
Lots of courses and classes. Gym is clearly where they spent most in recent years. Lots of machines etc.
As they say on Zoopla «in need of updating» (the hallways have needed fresh varnish for at least 3 years, the changing rooms for about 5y, the small child playing area was probably used by the staff when they were young…).
The food is often disappointing and slow. Especially if you eat in the formal restaurant where you often wait 50+ minutes for food. So much hardly anyone eats there anymore.
All in all good but well below its potential.
The place feels like it would benefit from a manager that is more visible/​present and makes you feel like he/​she cares.

I can describe this place as ‘Heaven’. Properly mannered members, good personnel and the Best facilities that money can provide /​two indoor Poole, an outside pool, latest gym equipment to be enjoyed with once a month free trainer.
All kinds of classes which satisfies every persons needs.
Cricket and football field, outdoor tennis courts and indoor tennis dome is in the middle of few acres of the most fascinating green land.
I am a member of this club for eleven years and intend to stay forever, since this is the most relaxing place /​I call it my second home

If you want a posh pool to have your kids play in or a green field to run in, a relaxing spa to have a facial in or a chic café to have a latte in, well then, The Park Club is for you.
Mind you, the prices are high, but they match the eyebrows of all the SAHM’s (that’s Stay-​At-​Home-​Moms for all you losers) that will look you over because you’re (I’m) a decade younger than them.
Maybe I’m being unfair with my 3-​star review, but it’s personal. (That wasn’t a typo)…
