Feels like a student union bar(in a good way). The bar was busy, but not rammed, on a Friday night.

Wow, what a gem! Pinball machines, people! They have pinball machines! And a jukebox! And lots of space and comfortable seating and nice staff and everything was awesome… except for the fact that they don’t serve food on weekends, but with many street food and take out options, that’s easy to deal with. They don’t mind you bringing outside food in when they’re not serving any themselves, so that’s great. I had a fantastic night with friends here, playing pinball most of all. I’d definitely recommend a visit to this great spot!

I was here for beer and pinball daytime. We were the only guests. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this bar if it wasn’t for the pinball machines. They have 6 machines which they change from time to time. Atm Twilight Zone, Creature from the Black Lagoon, roadshow, AC/DC, world Cup Soccer and Spiderman. If you like Swedish sweet cider this is the place — they have Briska on tap and Rekorderlig on bottles. The usual(generic) selection of draughts. Mostly«world beer» lagers, one ale and stout. The premises is large with a good number of seating worn look, a Unilocaler described it as student/rec and I would agree — I guess it looks better at night. If you are Swedish and a «gnagare» you will feel at home.

The Pipeline hasn’t changed too much since the last time I reviewed it. In fact, I’m pleased to note that it’s outlasted the two bars I mentioned in my earlier review. I love being right. It’s still an enjoyable place to chill out if you have some time to kill, though the music can be a little too loud for conversation to take place. There are still eclectic pub nights which take place here — Japanese cosplay nights, stand-up comics, the occasional karaōke, live bands… it’s best to check their website for details, although, at this point in time, the only events on display are for those which took place in 2013. The menu has changed — and for the better. Street food vendors Peko Peko provide tasty Japanese fare for lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. My favourites include the chicken katsu curry and the chicken kara-age. The Japanese chips, though, could use some work; at £4.50 a shot, there definitely needs to be a greater quantity of fries provided!

I love this bar. The best jukeboxes(mostly punk, oi, rock n roll, Johnny Cash etc) and nice staff. Gay-friendly too. They also put on some good punk shows in the basement!

Very chilled place with good food, good service, and a good background of music playing(any selection that spans from mid-80s The Replacements to mid-90s i found. This place had a good vibe and the bar is big enough we never had to wait long to be served. When I looked at the beer selection I was surprised and pleased — beer I really enjoyed and others I had not tried! I am a self admitted beer snob, If i dont like the taste of something, I wont drink it. The food is delicious, My pals and I were more than happy with what we got, great spot to meet with friends, Play some pool, Slam some pinball, and grab a bite to eat before heading out for the night, Or like us, Just chill out after work, When i move back to London with work ill be paying this place more visits. And hopefully beating the highscores

Kind of an odd bar. It is quite large and spread out, with sections of large couches, some video games, bar seating. It has the feel of a university, student bar/rec centre. There was quite a bit of open space when we were there at about 18:00 on a Friday, but maybe the place fills up later on and turns into a club-like place. Seems to have a fairly generic range of beer/wine/liquor. The one plus for me was that they have a beer I have never had: Lapin Kulta, from Finland. Mind you, this wasn’t a grade-A beer(just a generic pale lager) but it is rare that I find a beer I haven’t had before, especially in a bar like this one. I can’t comment on the value as another fella bought me the beer. Nothing unpleasant, just nothing to really shout about, either.

I was pleasantly surprised when I met a few friends here last week given it’s a bit off the beaten path of Bishop’s Gate(thankfully) and Spitalfields. It’s only a few minutes walk from Bishop’s Gate, and for me, Liverpool Street station and was pretty quiet in there as opposed to most of the places round that way. Staff were relatively friendly and most importantly — we had our choice of seats. Knocked it down a bit on stars because the wine was pretty pricey(at almost a fiver a pop for a small glass) but on saying that, it was also decent so I probably shouldn’t complain too much… I’d recommend for somewhere to nip in for a drink or two if wanting to avoid the usual hassle of crowds that often come with this area.
