Food was no messing around — fantasic!
But the waiters were so meek it made me uncomfortable and feel like the ‘other’.
They forgot our starter i had to REMIND them and made no apology, carried on as if was just nothing which just exacerbated my dissatisfaction. Thinking back on it im taking off a star. When I pay that much for food I want more than just good food.
Try the orka.

This place is definitely in my list of favourite places to dine.
It has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
The food is superb and they have more of a range of seafood dishes to choose from. So whatever you pick from the menu, i have to say you won’t be disappointed!

In Blackheath, I am happy to say that we are blessed with several quality Indian restaurants. The Saffron Club definitely falls into this category as they serve a bit different style then some of the others in the village. The mix of Southern Indian and Nepalese styles really brings a great flavor and experience.
The menu is extensive, but not overly so. They have a great selection of chicken, lamb, seafood and vegetarian. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with their meal and serving size.
I’d have to mention that unlike many Indian places where the servers get a bit pushy and rush you, this was not the case. When our Cobras were running low, they would swoop in and fill them or bring us new ones. It was quite impressive as the restaurant was quite busy. Great service none the less.
