The St. David’s & Norfolk Court Hotel

We wanted a low cost hotel near Paddington (for quick access to Heathrow the next morning) and really lucked out, finding this place. They charged 85 GBPs for the double room — it was clean and comfortable. No frills (no shampoo or tea in the room, for example) but really, we just wanted someplace to crash before our travel day. They have a free «full English cooked» breakfast — it was great — plenty of food and very good. (and there’s the tea we *didn’t* get in our room! :)
The windows in our room opened, so we were pleased to have fresh air.
It’s SO close to Paddington — wow — very easy to get on the Heathrow Express from Norfolk Square.
The man at the desk was nice — at our request, he printed our airline boarding passes for us.
The web site was a bit «fussy» — I couldn’t get it to actually make the reservation. But I easily got a message to them from the «contact» page, and they emailed the reservation confirmation a few hours later.
We booked the room only one week in advance, for late August — they had vacancies, thank goodness.
By the way, I think this is the third time we’ve stayed there — they even said they remembered us!

Think of this as being exactly what it is, and you won’t be disappointed.
This is a large hotel, or more accurately I would say guest house, about 75 yds from Paddington station, in a quiet little square.
Remember that this is at the budget end of the market for London, but, the room we had was good with a view out over the park, the breakfasts were excellent, rooms are serviced every day and clean. Another huge advantage is the close proximity to the Underground system — your passport to just about anywhere in London.
Don’t anticipate portergae, lifts or tea & coffee in the bedroom and you will like this place.
£94 per night, double, B&B, location, location, location as they say. I’d certainly use it again.

Ich war das erste Mal in London, und St David’s war eine super Wahl dafür!
Zentral gelegen und trotzdem ruhig in einer hübschen Seitenstrasse, die scheinbar nur aus Hotels besteht, Bus und Underground ca 1 Min entfernt und damit schnell im Zentrum.
Das Zimmer war zwar relativ klein, aber dafür, was mir persönlich immer superwichtig ist, absolut sauber und das Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis war für London super!
Wir haben 92 Pfund fürs Dopperzimmer mit Bad bezahlt, da kann man echt nicht meckern.
Inklusive war auch ein reichhaltiges English Breakfast, wahlweise auch vegetarisch.
Die Angestellten sind wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Kann ich also nur weiterempfehlen!
