Walked in 11:30. 30 minutes after breakfast ends so they said they will charged me extra £4 plus extra for the tea and toast not included. Rather than £10 it ended up at £20. Nice breakfast though

The Stockpot is extremely simple and a what you see is what you get type of eaterie. If you’re after a decent, very budget friendly meal with good service then come here. I’ve been there for lunch and dinner and it’s fine and the location is extremely handy as it is just between Leicester Square aka my idea of hell and off the Haymarket, so there are fantastic transport links. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, it’s not the sort of place you would rave about but if all you’re after is a cheap, basic meal then you’ve got it!

Price = reasonable. Seating = slightly cramped if you are a group of four in a booth. Decoration = not offensive. Service = just fine. Food = decent. nothing too fancy or memorable. Verdict = good for a simple, quick lunch but nothing special that would make me want to visit again.

This place was recommended by Rick Steve’s Europe 2010 guide. The service was friendly and kind. They sat us almost immediately. Even though the dishes were very simple the food took some time to come out. My dish was very bland and tasteless but I was hungry and ate it all still. My wife dish was also bland and she ate about half of it. We had the apple crumble cake with ice cream which is as simple as you can get but it took them almost 20 minute

Timewarp Tarzan has struck here ensuring you’ll be filled up for very little outlay. The food is simply prepared fare, prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are large. The Old Compton street branch attracts an interesting and varied crowd — with some regulars(always a good sign.) The waitress was also a pleasant surprise — older than your average, might not get an A-star for her English, but had none of the attitude or abruptness of the younger set. An institution that can count on me coming back and back and back.
