The food and beer is good And the atmosphere is perfect to have a good pint. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good pint.

Excellent little brewpub. They had 6 – 8 cask ales, a dozen or so taps, and a great bottle menu of local and imported craft beers. The food is better than average pub fare, but the real draw(for me) was the beer.

Fantastic pub near the strand, great beers and atmosphere. I especially liked the Brewhouse Pale Ale, fruity with zest. Would definitely recommend here, we didn’t eat but the food looked incredible.

We found this underground wonderland thanks to Unilocal. So, thanks to all those Unilocalers who have reviewed the Temple Brewhouse! You have to navigate your way down some fairly unprepossessing stairs but then you find yourself in an underground happy place. A range of seating areas, beer a-plenty and a very relaxed vibe. This is definitely one to explore further in the future… and tours of the brewing process are available. Interesting.

This place is home to the Essex Street Brewery. It’s an OK spot. First and foremost, though, the beers are somewhat mediocre. I had four on my first visit. Each was seriously lacking condition and served above cellar temperature; so, I have to question their cellaring practices. Beyond the shabby condition I could detect the makings of decent beer, so hopefully this place will improve. The venue itself is not bad at all. It’s on the basement floor of the building and the ambiance is pretty solid, and fairly unique. The beer selection is decent, with a few London highlights on tap, such as Kernel, Beavertown, Meantime, Sambrooks. The staff was friendly. The value was alright; cask flights(three 1⁄3 pours) for GBP4 is nice. So long as the quality of the beers is like is now, I wouldn’t call this place a must-visit. But if they improve it could be a great spot.

The staff here is just amazing– extremely helpful and attentive. They go out of their way to make your time there enjoyable. The food is very tasty. This is our second time here during this trip, and will be out«go to» stop whenever we visit London.

Some friends and I wanted to go to a pub to watch a football game and we stumbled upon Temple Brewhouse! I love trying new beers, so Temple was a treat. They brewed a delicious cider and an even better IPA. Loved the environment and the bartenders. They gave us great beer recommendations! Great staff, great beer, great place.

I stumbled into Temple Brewhouse during a search for a Christmas Party venue, and, boy, so glad that happened! We didn’t end up booking the place, but I made sure to try it out as soon as I could. The beer selection is fantastic — always changing, always interesting, and always featuring a few local breweries. They also have a paddle option you can get for £4-£5 so you can try three different beers that are 1⁄3 pint each. It’s a lot of fun bringing the paddle back to the group and hearing everyone ooh and ahh and ask which beers you’re trying! The staff are friendly, efficient, and have always given me spot-on recommendations. It helps as well that they play actual GOOD music, so even if it can be loud depending on where you’re sitting/standing, your ears will at least be very pleased. I actually also love the crowd that comes in. It feels unpretentious, casual, jovial — just the place to go to unwind with some of your colleagues and/or friends after work. I don’t think this is a perfect 5, but it definitely has a lot going for it. I think it is one of the best pubs in its area, though, so I’ve gone with the 5. Tip: You can book tables for groups, so if you know there will be quite a few of you, might be worth booking so you can get seats and a table.

A true gem. This little basement joint was introduced to my by two friends living in London. Unpretentious and simple pub with great beer selection: on tap, bottled, also some brewed in house. Full menu until 10pm, with selection of tapas, traditional and non traditional pub food. I went with the fish and chips which was LITERALLY an entire fish fried(bones removed). Cozy as can be and perfect for a night out with friends.

Tolles Keller-Pub. Pub-typisch — Service at Bar.

What a find! Bf and I went here after receiving an email from Mr Hyde about local London brewery’s and before we went out for dinner after work It was only 6pm but already very busy — not many places to sit so we stood at the bar and eventually got a few bar stools A great selection of beers including their beers brewed on site. Also the option of getting a paddle which lets you try 3 different drinks — each a 1⁄3 of a pint I tried 3 of their own beers and all were delicious! Will definitely be going back!

Oh no. No one’s reviewed Temple Brewhouse. This is a dilemma. I don’t want you to come here — I want this all to myself — but at the same time I have to share with others how great this place is. Temple Brewhouse is an innocuous, downstairs brewery that serves some of the best beer in London and beyond. It’s definitely a more contemporary place, clad in sanded wood, glass, and steel, but it’s been decorated with a few choice items that make it interesting. It’s definitely not one of the many moody pubs that cover London — it’s more fresh — but it still feels quaint and homey. All that is backstory to the beer. They have an amazing selection of brews from London and beyond. When I’m down here, I’m never wanting for a tasty cold one. The staff are knowledgeable and smile a lot. Overall, the vibe in this place is at once relaxed, festive, and fun. So, there it is… now you know… just don’t tell your friends. Please.
