Nice place for a drink, the décor inside is lovely and I especially like the seats by the fire. Very cosy! They had a nice selection of wines. Although have yet to try the food, so watch this space…

Lunch was ok. I will only say it was ok as came her for roast lunch and my first & second choice(beef & then pork) were not available. I had roast chicken, good but bugger all roast veg(1 roast potato &2 carrots, what is that about?) & the wife had the nut roast. Would I come again? Have to say that I won’t go out of my way, that being said there are worse places. A middle of the road 3 stars — FYI full of red trouser brigade here, it is Chelsea after all… Costing wise £42 for 2x roast lunch, a pint of Hells lager & a glass of Sauv Blanc, not too bad.

Not bad, basically. This is my local so I nip in for a beer in the evenings occasionally. Atmosphere is better than I expected with all the tourists and isn’t frequented by too many sloaney types. Good range of beer and ales and cracking £1 off a pint on Mondays! I often see couples with bottles of wine so assume that’s ok too. The food looks delicious and the menu is interesting but I’ve never actually eaten there yet.

— located amidst the bustle of King‘s Road next to Curzon Cinema — elegant, cozy pub with vibrant interiors, somehow even glamourous(plenty of intimate corners) — good music — long drinks list with 13 speciality draught beers, plus four real ales — regionally sourced pub-food(we did not try) — secluded beer garden

My husband and I recently took a trip to London and Paris. I did my best to record all my eats while on the trip. I will blog about as many of those as possible. My first meal in London was delish! The place was trendy and cute with brick walls and decorated with colorful, overstuffed chairs. I ordered a pastry tart that was full of fig, goat cheese, pecans and roasted butternut squash, topped with crispy, salty kale. There was some sort of pink sauce that the tart was wading in — it was sweet, but not too sweet. The sauce finished the tart making it completely caloric and scrumptious! We made a second visit to this restaurant on the last day of our trip. I ordered a chicken club(minus the bacon) with fries. I ate just about every bite. It was simple and spot on. Salty, tasty and perfect for a cold day.

Drinks: Respectable selection of wines and I do believe that Adam(the proprietor) has a personal hand in the selection. Space: Airy, well thought out and overall very good use. With is boutique theme the blend of colour and texture make for an inviting venue for a Sunday afternoon all dayer! People: Adam is personable and a jolly nice chap. Michelle(waitress) is delightful and the partons are a mixed bag of Sloanies, normal people and film producers! Food: I like a Sunday roast like the next person but when did celery become one of the vegetables that go into a roast dinner? The Sunday helpings were a little sad to say the least: soggy roast potatoes, burnt yorkshire and two slices of pork. Granted I have been spoilt by the Hawksmoor offerings, but there is no excuse for a bad roast. Everybody knows it’s the highlight of the week!

The Trafalgar is a large but unspectacular pub on Kings Road. It has a good(but not exceptional) range of craft beer, ales and lager on tap, plenty of space to sit and a pleasing Indie/dance stream of background music. But it just seems to lack that certain something. No wifi, seats that are rather less comfortable than they look and a lack of, well, any real soul. I didn’t try the food so can’t comment on that. For now though, it all seemed rather so-so. Fine for a swift pint maybe, but no more.

The archetypal Chelsea bar. Always busy. Everyone knows everyone and a lot of people get outrageously(but happily) drunk.

This was my second visit to the Trafalgar for dinner and after my first visit i had read the reviews on Unilocal. My first visit about 6 weeks ago wasn’t too dissimilar from Unilocalpers reviews. The staff seemed a little lost and unfriendly, but the food was good and they had a good selection of beer and wine. You may think well why go back… The same thought had crossed my mind but it is local and the food was good the first time and I wanted to try their burger(I do love a good burger). So we went for it and I don’t know if it was a lucky visit but I was very impressed with the service this time. It wasn’t fairly busy but the barman gave us table service even before he knew we wanted to eat. He was friendly and jokey, a really nice guy. The food was good as well, the burger was no Idle Hour burger but a tasty burger. For a quick review summary: Monday night, male barmar, burger and good range of beers and wine = a good night.

Obviously the wench that everyone complains about was not working when I went. The crowd was friendly, merlot a good choice, décor very trendy-vintage and hip. Waiter was a delight. Unfortunately they ran out of the honey glazed salmon just as I ordered but the pan fried chicken with wild mushroom sauce was perfect as were the roasted and fried half potatoes. New English cuisine at it’s best.

Two Doom Bars and a Lentil, Spinich, Potato burger with chips which was at best okay, not great. Seemed pricey but not for Kings Road I guess. One person serving, and another managing seemed light for a sunday afternoon but then again perhaps not for …

To start out: I like the selection at this pub. The beer, cider, and wine is varied and pretty cheap. And you can’t beat the pitcher of Pimm’s for 12 pounds. What really sucks about this place is the staff, in particular one young woman who appears to be the manager. She reminds me of the pigs in «Animal Farm», where all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. She made me feel stupid for having ordered the wrong drink, then she yelled at the bartender for having done it. All the while she was eating a sandwich. WTF?! A bit later, friends and I were getting shots and the bartender was filling the shot glass to the line instead of using the metric cup. The manager started screaming at the bartender that that was the incorrect way to pour. All the people in the pub turned around and looked at us the customers as if WE had done something wrong. It made me feel embarrassed for myself and the bartender. I would go back to this pub, but only if I didn’t feel threatened by psycho-manager.

My favourite pub in England! There’s velvet curtains, couches, mismatched chairs, random tables, wooden walls, armchairs… The music is only loud enough to be heard properly. You can still speak, no need to lean in or anything. In the winter, they serve mulled wine, which is YUM! We had the steak and ale pie and the bangers & mash. SO good!!! For a pub it’s not super cheap(Bangers and mash for £7 on a saturday night) but the food is well served, amazingly cooked and OMG-good! Like I said. My favourite pub! I wish I could eat dinner there every single day. It’d be lovely. Also, we had the mixed dessert plate(£5) to try out 3 desserts. We should’ve gone straight for the brownie(£3.50). It was divine. Warm, moist, chocolatey… everything a brownie should be. I’m salivating just remembering it! Overall, I would highly recommend this pub for a glass of wine with good company, in a pleasant décor. This place doesn’t scream«pub», it whispers«lounge». The couches, the fairy lights, the secretive glow of the dispersed lights, the red and purple upholstery, the not-too-loud music… everything combines to make this a pub well above the rest. You see, the brews are good, the food cooked perfectly, and the desserts surprisingly decadent. That, my dears, is what makes it, for me, the best pub in england. I have yet to find this divine combination anywhere else. It will feed you, it will desalterate you, and it will give you something sweet to boot, while you’re comfortably ensconced on a velvety sofa. Who could ask for anything more?

The service is consistently bad. CONSISTENTLY. It’s not like I had a one-off bad experience. I’ve been here hundreds of times because this is one of my office’s locals. Even on a night that’s not so busy, it could take you over 15 minutes to be served at the bar. It can drive you mad. On the plus side, they sell pistachio nuts and chilli puffs. The couches are comfortable. There’s a little outdoor area in the back with chairs and heaters for smokers. You’ll often find a lot of hot women here on any given night. I suppose that’s what you get for being located on the King’s Road. The food and drink prices are a bit on the higher end, but it’s Chelsea, so it’s to be expected. The beer selection is ok. The beer quality is not so good(I think they have to clean their pipes). The food is ok. Overall, the place is decent, if you don’t mind the long waits at the bar. Advice: when you finally do get served, buy a big round.

2.5 pub. been a few times. service is not great nor crappy. drink prices aren’t that bad, i would have to say cheaper than a lot of places i’ve been to. the main crowd that gathers there are a bunch of guppies, prepsters(ew).. and a few misplaced individuals. . fun to go with in groups. good beer on tap. they also serve food — never tried it though, so no comment.

Much nicer on a sunday eve when it’s not jam packed with young preppies in suits. Comfortable couches for lounging. The ladies was foul and flooded though. Not a place you’d go out of the way to go to but not a bad stop if you happen to be on king’s road

The Trafalgar has really outdone itself by finding the rudest staff in London. Seriously, if there was a championship this pub would win. Last week, after waiting 40 minutes for our food to arrive my boyfriend went up to the bar to ask if there was some sort of problem with the order. Rolling his eyes as though this was a completely unreasonable request the barman reluctantly tapped away on his computer screen for two minutes before turning abruptly, shrugging and announcing ‘I suppose it’s coming…’ No, sorry it’s taking so long. No, I’ll just check for you. No smile! When the food finally arrived the waitress who served us didn’t even stop to break the conversation she was having with the barman. The food was half thrown down in front of us as she laughed loudly at some joke he was telling her. I honestly think I would have felt more comfortable if they had just got it all over with and snogged. As it was, I felt like some sort of sleazy observer on their first date… The Trafalgar should be a nice pub– it’s got a decent bar, fairly tasty food and generally looks like it would make a great place to hang out. Sadly though, the staff here make it really uncomfortable and hard to relax.

I have stopped off at the Trafalgar on a few occasions and each time I have struggled in understanding what kind of pub it is. It has definitely been busy every time I have been, but as for the décor, its neither traditional looking, nor trendy. It just has a load of people talking and drinking, it’s a nice vibe and a decent place to have a drink. Just to add something about the décor, they really do not have any kind of theme going on at all. Everything is different, like the chairs and tables, I don’t think there is one identical piece of furniture in there, but somehow they do get away with it, because I have found myself queuing on every attempt to get a beer in here. They have a good selection for the beer drinker, which is good and probably why I have gone back here and there. As for the service, the staff behind the bar have been more up themselves than the punters, they have been quite rude to me and to other people whilst I have been there, whether that is down to them constantly being busy or just being silly, I don’t know. generally, it is a nice pub and reasonable in price, but it is nothing to rant and rave about, there are far better and far worse.

This bar is in the heart of Chelsea on the Kings Road. Any time I’ve been in here it’s been bustling and filled with posh punters, well it is Chelsea darling. The atmosphere is and chatty as it gets filled with people who work nearby and come for a drink or four(my friend works nearby and it’s his regular) the only downside to this bar is the staff I have found them a bit rude on so many occasions and there is always a huge wait at the bar. The upside is they serve olives which is a welcome change from crisps if you are feeling peckish. They also have a bar menu.

I love this place. No noisy television or music too loud. Plenty of space and loads of sofas to relax in. From the moment you enter this establishment which is situated in the Kings Road, Chelsea, You are taken aby the amount of space there is Service at the bar is fast and friendly and there is a big choice of drinks. What I love most about this place is the food and they do the best Roast Lamb in London for £9−99. I have trouble finishing it and I am a 6ft 5 man If i did not have my own flat. I would happily live in the Trafalgar :)
