I was never a big fan of casinos, but my friends wanted to bet a little, even though I’m not a regular casino visitor– I know how it should be and look like –and it’s not like this for sure. The reception is pretty impressive and you also have to register to go in(why?!) Once you go up, everything is fine, but it really feels like a weird place– The entrance bathroom are pretty dirty, the dealers are dressed in uniform that don’t flatter them, some of them are not even wearing uniform! A weird blend of people, some of which seem pretty shady or as if they’re about to stab you. The overall ambience is not very casino like, the food and drinks look pretty dull(thanks for the generous Unilocal offer, but I’m not gonna order anything). Just from observing at my friends table I caught the dealer making a few mistakes — very unprofessional. Next time — if there will be– will be at a fancier casino.

It’s a decent casino if you like table games. On one level there’s a lot of roulette action, with live tables and(for some reason) and equal number of machine roulette games as well. There are also some other table games as well(Pai Go, Blackjack, etc) and a bar with slightly overpriced beverages — well I’m tainted by years of going to Nevada. On the second level is a fairly large poker room and a fairly simple restaurant(more like a café than anything fancy). If you like slots, however, the selection is terrible. Likewise, I like video poker but there was none here(though this might be due to UK gaming laws — not sure). The staff are nice and it’s easy to set up a free membership. They also enforce a smart/casual dress code, so no wearing yoga leotards. Not that I found out the hard way.

This place was so awesome and the cards are dealt here differently from the states. Exp: Black jack; player is dealt two cards face up and the dealer is dealt one card face up and by the dealer face up card, that should determine if you’re going to hit or not. Weird huh? I thought so. Poker tourney was cool and the setup where there’s a octagon shaped table and each players takes turn dealing cards!

Very small, but it’s the only Casino I’ve ever been to in the UK, so I could be in the wrong frame of reference. Generally very well kept. I was here for the EPT, so the casino was a bit in disarray for the event. The ‘regular’ crowd seemed to be mostly older, although the Poker tournament was a mix of all types. The dinning area was someone disappointing, but they had great drinks at both bars I visited. As I believe is the case in all UK Casino’s you have to get, and show on each entrance, a membership card. The process was free and took only a few moments.
