Located in the forgotten backwater that is Marylebone station, this is a very pleasant station bar. Most of the time Marylebone station is very quiet and peaceful, and the Victoria and Albert reflects this. The décor is traditional, and, being located inside a station, you will not be surprised to find railway pictures adorning the walls! Real ales mare on tap and food is served, although I have not sampled it. Seating is also available outside the pub(but still inside the station!). Not as grand as some station bars I have visited, but still a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Good food, decent drink selection(for an American looking for some new beers to try). Service was… eh. Went twice this week and about the same. I enjoyed the Tikka Masala, but I guess you can get a good one almost anywhere in London.

Monopoly Pub Crawl — Stop #9 — Marylebone Station(Railway) If you pop into Marylebone station, you are greeted with the choice of not one, but two pubs to choose from! The Victoria & Albert was our pick although if you want to catch a few minutes of the game, the Sports Bar & Grill is a bit further down. The V&A is a cute little pub crammed with tables and couches which really do get in the way when you are trying to lead a group to the bar. I can’t remember for the life of me what it was I drank, but given I downed it in one I’m sure it was an ale of sorts. I do remember that they have no toilets in house and you have to cross to the other side of the concourse to use the public bathrooms. Now these are supposed to cost 30p but for some reason these were unlocked so we popped in for free but I can imagine being very annoyed if I frequented this pub. Although I can’t imagine why you’d frequent a railway pub unless you had a pint before catching the train home? Overall, an okay pub in an oft forgotten station. As a stop on the pub crawl though, it suits well and you can grab food from Paul or Burger King on your way out!

I liked this place, the GKIPA was good and the staff very friendly. The seats in the ‘Public Bar’ area were very hard. The comfy seat next door were all taken up with diners.

Particurly good for a station pub. They almost offered quite a boring selection with GK IPAin, Specked haine and London Peed. Luckily the 4th beer was St Edmunds Ale. This is a truly delicious beer that makes we wonder why GK’s other beers are so bad! They also offer some decent bottled beers from the fridge. The code for the toilets was understandable and I guess I can see why they ask each customer if they want crisps or peanuts. Put the idea into someone’s head and they probably do. Another Monopoly crawl regular!(See photo below)
