Pretty poor for an Indian restaurant. No real flavours I the food and the service was pretty poor even though they weren’t busy.

We discovered this restaurant, a short walk from the Clapham South tube station, through friends who live nearby. Because they eat here often, they’ve become friendly with the chef, and frequently he will prepare them something that’s not on the regular menu. When he heard we were visiting from the States, he went all out to make us feel welcome. We trusted him to whip up something special and we weren’t disappointed. He presented us with several delicious dishes, including chicken coconut curry, tandoori fish, and a tangy lemon rice. Because we didn’t order from the regular menu I can’t recommend specific dishes, but based on what we ate I’m sure no matter what you try you won’t be disappointed.

Not bad. Not bad at all. In fact, much better than this. One of the best Indian restaurants around, I think. Although, I’ve never tried the Bombay Bicycle club. But then, that always seems like curry for the rich. The tikka dishes are gorgeous, and I have to say one of the best aloo sags I’ve ever tried. The only negative is that when you order takeaway they’re very aggressive in their rice and naan sales.
