Beautiful setting along the river. Absolute 5 stars for the ambiance and view. 2 outdoor seating areas and a beautiful indoor dining room. As for food, I’d give it 4 stars. The fish and chips were great. Super crispy flavorful batter and the chips were just how I like them — crispy outside and soft inside. My husband had he eggs and ham which was also delicious. Glazing on the ham was sweet and the eggs were perfectly over medium. As for service… zero stars. We were initially told to take a seat outside by a bartender. After wandering around we finally found a table. We sat for approx 15 min and no servers came to our table. We decided to move inside. We were told to sit wherever, again by a bartender as there is no hostess. We took a seat… waited approx 5 min then were told that table was reserved. We should have left at this point… but we moved to their«suggested table». After finally ordering drinks… it took about 10 minutes for our pints to arrive. Food came quickly, and again it was very good. But we didn’t see our server again for another half hour/40 minutes. So sad to have such poor service… could have been great.

I was a bit hesitant to go here, as the reviews weren’t stellar, but when the pub down the street was jam-packed I decided to give it a go. Really glad I did. The bartender was happy to seat me outside, right by the water. Made for a nice, relaxing end to an otherwise hectic day. He opened a tab for me and said I’d need to order at the bar, but actually ended up taking my order at my table when he came back with my cider, which was nice. It took forever for the food to come out. I didn’t really understand the excuse one of the servers gave me, but my food came right out afterwards. I fortunately only had bread to start, so I wasn’t too annoyed that it arrived with my main. Consider yourselves lucky, Waterside! I had the ironed chicken. It’s up there with some of the juiciest grilled chicken I’ve had, and the seasoning was perfect. Really pleased with the slaw as well. Nothing worse than some cabbage and carrots swimming in mayo, but the mayo was light on this one, so it was actually enjoyable. As for the corn on the cob, most restaurants see it as a bit of an afterthought, but obviously not here. It was super-tender and charred just enough to give it some additional flavour. Chips were perfectly crispy too, just the way I like ‘em. I’d come back next time I’m in the area. It’s kind of a wasteland over there, so splurge a bit and get some killer views and killer food.

We spotted this gastropub along the river whilst out exploring our new neighborhood and dropped in for lunch over the weekend. Waterside has a split level setup and outdoors seating that overlooks the river. I’d imagine the patio would be lovely on a nice afternoon. Inside there is bar seating, some cozy fireside tables, lower level seating inside from the river walk and a top deck as well. My wife got an ale and I had a lager. As it was Sunday, we both had the roasts. Chicken for the lady and pork belly for me. That kind of rib sticking meal was just perfect for my taste. I loved the Yorkshire pudding and all the veggies that came with the succulent swine. While I enjoyed it, things were a bit heavy for my wife. She pretty much picked at this and that. Typical. It appears that Waterside does spatchcocked chicken too, and I suggested she gets that on future visits. Service was friendly and I’m sure we’ll be back often.

great location right on the river and chilled atmosphere. Used by locals and workers alike. Staff friendly enough, all in all middle of road pub in nice location

You pay top dollar for drinks in this pub for the gorgeous Riverside view. The clientele appear to be well dressed and friendly. There is an underground car park opposite that you can park for free in if you get your ticket stamped at the bar.

Very very late review, but I came here last year on my trip with friends to London. We rented a flat inside the Imperial Wharf complex and frequented the Waterside for a quick bite before heading off to do whatever we were doing around town. It was actually the first place we came across to eat at when we got settled into our flat because we were too lazy to cook or go any further than a few steps away from our flat LOL! The restaurant is filled with friendly and helpful staff and it has an awesome view of the river! We really liked the place, the décor was really trendy and cozy, the split level and outdoor seating décor was awesome! The food was pretty good too! They had this cheese dip thing, I don’t even remember what it’s called now, but it was just this round plate of melted goodness; I still crave it sometimes! Wish we had places like this in the states…

Live at Imperial Wharf and have been to the Waterside a few times. Biggest positive is the outdoor riverside seating on sunny days. Can’t complain about the food. Burgers and fries are top notch and Sunday roast hits the spot. The staff are not the best as they always seem to be mad busy and lack attentiveness… even when it’s not packed. I’m not sure how to describe the social scene though… there really isn’t one type of crowd there… just a mix(residents, local workers, wag wannabes, football fans).

Part of an exclusive and expensive housing and apartment complex on the river Thames in Fulham is the Waterside. A Young’s owned pub that promises much and doesn’t quite live up to the glamour that surrounds it. A modern split level pub /wine bar that has a top floor for eating, a ground floor as a bar area /eating and a lower level that has access to the river side and an outdoor area with seats and umbrella’s etc. Modern and almost flashy this place could be so much more, I have visited here on many occasions and I like it but keep wanting to be impressed. It has everything it needs to be a great place to un-wind and have a good night out but just fails on the service that so many managed houses suffer from. Superb location, modern and comfortable, it just needs someone to take it to the next level and this will ensure that this place lives up to its surroundings.

I am not sure how anyone would come across this place by chance. I have been here twice now, both times because I was visiting people working in Chelsea Harbour. The pub/bar is pleasant enough, but what makes it really special is the outdoors seating right by the river. We enjoyed a lovely lunch on a sunny Autumn day — very blustery, especially every time a helicopter landed on the opposite river bank. The food is very tasy, nothing special, your usual gastro pub grub. Customers are predominantly staff from the nearby offices, intersperced with well to do folk staying at one of the area’s posh hotels. It’s a bit weird holding a business conversation with a lovely blonde snogging her sugar daddy right next to you We were lucky the very switched on waiter was responsible for our table, and not the weird girl who sulked when we admitted already having placed our order with the former. Was she actually working here or just posing as a waitress? PS according to the bill this is a Young’s Pub, even though it has more of a bar feel to it.
