Small but efficient rooms — windows are a bit drafty. Nice reception service and very close to train Euston TS. Restaurant being refurbed but they still managed to accommodate us with some olives and much needed wine!!! Service is the rest was exceptional!!! It’s fine for a working stay.

It’s like a budget motel with a shiny exterior. It doesn’t have the customer service or amenities that its price tag should warrant. The bathroom was very nice though.

I think the Wesley is terrific! I’ve stayed here twice, once for nearly two weeks in 2013 and recently for three nights. I have stayed here as a solo travel when traveling without my husband and children. I’ve stayed in the truly single rooms of single beds for truly one person.(This is not the American idea of a «single» where you can squish in a couple other people, a pet, and twelve big suitcases into the bed and the rest of the room.) The Wesley single rooms have been neatly and nicely refurbished with very clean bathrooms and new furnishings in tiny, but efficient spaces. TV is excellent, bed, etc. are very comfortable and I have found the service over all excellent. I have asked for extra linens, etc. and the staff has been pleasant and prompt.(The only problem I ever had was on an earlier very long stay, housekeeping accidentally threw my own pillow into the laundry and I never got it back, which was a bit irritating, but this isn’t really a big deal and an understandable mistake. Not as bad as one of my running shoes being thrown in the laundry and disappeared at another higher end hotel in London!) The breakfast is much nicer than most b&b quality English breakfasts and similar small hotels and the staff is very attentive. I even ate dinner once here and thought it was quite good.(BTW, I had the avocado vinaigrette and the steamed mussels. Not at all bad for a very late night dinner with jet lag in a small hotel.) Front staff is really nice and helpful. I’m very happy that they’ve helped me with printing, email, etc. at no charge. A couple times, I’ve needed to work all day in my room on my laptop and then I hung the«make up my room» tag at 4 or so on the doorknob, thinking there was no chance the room would be made up that late in the day, but it always has been. I also really really like that the Wesley does not use the little single serve bottles of shampoo etc., but instead has very nice products in refillable bottles. It advertises itself as ecofriendly and this is a nice(if small step) towards making less of a plastic footprint on the world. Speaking of footprints… the Wesley is steps away from Euston, the British Library, the Wellcome, and the great Drummond Street row of Indian restaurants. Really a perfect location for academics and tikka masala fans and surprisingly quiet for its proximity to the station and Euston Road. Now for the other reviewer who kept being surprised by staff popping in while he was not quite dressed – I could see how this might happen here in the middle of the day b/c housekeeping is on site and ready to make up the room if it wasn’t done earlier in the day. I always hang my «don’t disturb» tag in this and other hotels and have not had any drama here. Just hang the tag and let the front desk know what you need and you’ll enjoy your stay here! The rooms are small, but this is the nature of London small hotels. Incidentally, I don’t really know what pricing is like here. I’ve gotten quite nice deals on price line and so at more of the bargain price it is an excellent value, but I don’t think I’d rate as highly if I were paying full price; when I’ve checked many weeks in advance directly, the Wesley seems sort of expensive, but I have been able to nab some good rates at the last minute and I’ve been very happy with it paying around 120 pounds a night for small single.

I booked this hotel on Hotwire for two nights and they were nothing but disappointing. When I first arrived they informed me that there was no such thing as early check in at there hotel, when prevosiuly I had called and let them know I would be arriving early and I was told it would be no problem. Once I killed the 4 hours till I was allowed to check in, I walked up and decided to take a shower after traveling all day. Right when I get out of the shower I hear my room door open and here’s a worker standing there. He never says sorry, he just stares at me and says oh, wrong room I guess and left. Not 20 minutes later I’m standing there shirtless getting ready to head out on the town and a house keeper knocks and before I can say anything she walks in. So twice within the first hour of being in the hotel and I had two people see me without clothes on. That is a new record. When I came back from being out, the front desk lady saw me walk in and as I walked past her towards the elevator, she asks loudly«Sir the bathrooms are for guests only». I looked back and simply told her I was staying here and she gave me a dirty look. As a younger business traveler in the tour industry, I often get called out on being places that a lot of people my age might not be, but that’s no reason to have an attitude with a guest. I would never recommend anyone staying here. Service is terrible, rooms are small, water pressure is weak, and location is good either.
